Such a great spot, had the pupusas for lunch and it was so good that I had to come back for an empanada for dinner! The people who run this store clearly put so much love and effort into the food and service and it’s a great place to pick up some excellent food on the go. Highly recommend!

I have been on the hunt for good Nicaraguan food since my mom passed away. She used to make them from scratch. Nacatamales are labour of Nicaraguan love ss they are labour intensive. They dough has to be properly seasoned and dressed, properly wrapped with sufficient plantain leaves to prevent the water/steam wetting the masa, and the size has to be a Tamal on steroids.
