I have been on the hunt for good Nicaraguan food since my mom passed away. She used to make them from scratch. Nacatamales are labour of Nicaraguan love ss they are labour intensive. They dough has to be properly seasoned and dressed, properly wrapped with sufficient plantain leaves to prevent the water/steam wetting the masa, and the size has to be a Tamal on steroids. This nacatamal hit every point of the checklist and tasted a little bit like home. Muy sabroso y bien hecho. ❤️?? I also placed a special order for Indio Viejo, another Nicaraguan treat and it was very tasty and well made. I took guirilas home to try later this week as well. Can you tell I am home sick? I can’t wait to try other Nica treats.

Such a great spot, had the pupusas for lunch and it was so good that I had to come back for an empanada for dinner! The people who run this store clearly put so much love and effort into the food and service and it’s a great place to pick up some excellent food on the go. Highly recommend!

Beans tasted like tomatoes, the rice was bad like idk how you mess that up. If you are Mexican don’t even consider it. It’s just white Mexican food and not only that but the service was really bad they kept forgetting our table and asked for a drink that never too. It’s upsetting because I’ve been to places way busier where you would get served way better and not waste your time waiting unnecessarily.I hate giving one stars but this was really deserved
