While I think there may have been a miscommunication between myself and the cashier, the manager was quick to reply to my initial concerns, which I think is admirable. I’ll assume it was an innocent misunderstanding which lead to my initial dissatisfaction.
The bread is very nice, a good crust with a soft, elastic, interior.

The desserts here are a true work of art — incredibly talented creations that are as delicious as they are beautiful. Pastries are high-end and expertly crafted, and the ambiance is absolutely gorgeous, making it a treat for the senses.

Unfortunately, the service is downright disappointing — careless, unfriendly, and nowhere near the standard the food sets. My advice? Don’t let the subpar service ruin your experience. Pretend they’re great, focus on the stunning pastries, and savor every bite.

Wonderful coffee, baked goods and sandwiches that you can enjoy in a bright, airy atmosphere. This, plus friendly service, makes visiting a must. Definitely recommend!

I don't understand why this place has such a high rating!
The photo shows a croissant with chocolate 😁.
In general, it tastes like a supermarket bakery.

Passing by We run into this spot. Food was amazing but really bad customer service, it is sad. Girl who took the order wasn’t pleasant at all. Couldn’t answer simple few questions. Will come back if in the area because of the quality food.

Tasty and creamy ‘hintonburg’ fog. Large cookies. Would come back to try their pastries and coffee

Why are you lying ? Mr cashier
I'm loyal customer and your neighbour
when Client asked you if the food is day old and you say no it's freshly baked this morning
which is I arrive at 7:59 today and I ask for 2 apricot danish pastry unfortunately he said we have one just because it was odd. I asked him specifically how come you're making 1 Africa pastry in themorning. and he's came with some excuses,
Anyways since I see, there's only one left I ordered 2 almond croissant, and I get home see was old dry and taste burned

Remember if costumer come very early morning before you opening, they want a fresh stuff not the oldest stuff

I'm really sorry for this shop owner !!!!!!

Lovely coffee shop and bakery with friendly staff, alternative milks, good coffee selection and great pastries. Warm, welcoming, cosy and unpretentious inside. Seats at the window were a good place to just watch the world go by. Coffee was really good (and I had decaf which isn't always a great choice at coffee shops).

This cafe was exceptionally inviting and delicious. We fell upon it by chance looking for a place in Hintonburg for a fab espresso! Oh my gosh you have to try this location as the staff are super friendly and committed to a great experience. I tried the Ganache Mocha and it was yummy! Thanks for a great vibe and easy good Friday destination to chill! Cheers, Spicy Jan

I've been a loyal cutomer for several years, but it's now my 2nd negative interaction with the same staff member. She doesn't smile, is rude, and makes me feel unwelcome. There are a lot of great coffee shops/bakeries in our neighborhood, so warmth and attention are key. From now on, I will turn around when I see her at the counter. A smile doesn't cost anything but makes all the difference in the service industry.

Nice spot but one server wasn't pleasant. Nice if they would have offered to warm everything up for sitting in
