Little hole in the wall. Small dining area (5 tables). Excellent Korean fare (we had the bibimbap and potatoe gamjatang), lots of interesting selection. Decent portions. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Street parking.
We had a great experience at Maht. The vermicelli was a surprising delight. Service was fast and friendly. Portions were ample.Vegetarian options: They had tofu bibimbap, which was good.

I ordered three dishes.1. Bibimbob: when you order bibimbob, you expect fresh toppings with healthy vegetables. Bibimbob is supposed to be a healthy food. You don’t expect bibimbob to be full of oil. Bibimbob in this restaurant is extremely oily.2. Gamjatang: Gamjatang in this restaurant does not have an authentic gamjatang flavour. Also there is not much topping in the soup. The soup tastes like salt water with non-Korean flavour.3 Chick wings: Extremely burnt with some non-Korean flavour. Refer to the picture. If you are looking for an authentic Korean restaurant, you need to look elsewhere.

I am a big fan of Korean food, especially the soups and stews. I ordered from Maht for the first time recently. I cannot recommend the gamjatang or the seafood pancake. The gamjatang was rather boring — the broth was weak, no veggies (like nappa or bean sprouts) apart from a few chunks of potatoes, and there wasn’t a lot of meat. The seafood pancake (large size) was pricey for its size and there was barely anything in it! I’d probably order food here again, but as a last resort only.
Small intimate place. The staff was nice and effective. Tried multiple plates and came back with leftovers. The fried chicken was great, as were every other dish. Portions were nice.
Non-korean owner making korean food. Sadly cannot find that authentic korean taste. Minimal service from the staff. Nothing particularly good. If you are looking for an authentic korean food, go to Maroo, only a few blocks
The boneless fried chicken was inedible. Just cartilage and fat. The boned chicken was better but still not high quality meat.

Easily one of my favourite meals in a long time. Both the seafood and kimchi pancakes were perfectly crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, the gamjatang was simple but so flavourful, and all of the tea and side dishes were the ideal match for the rest of the food. I am incredibly happy to have visited and will definitely be coming back soon to try some more of the menu.
I think this is a classic Korean spot. There is nothing special or outstanding, but is reliable and well priced. The pork bone soup had a fair amount of meat, with 4 to 5 pieces of pork bone. The soup is a little bit less spicy than typical but I do not mind given I have a low spice threshold. I would call it your typical average neighborhood korean spot. Overall satisfactory

The food is alright. You get what you pay for. I think the price is a bit cheaper than nearby Korean restaurants but the broth is less flavourful and something about the food is lacking compared to other Korean places. You'll still leave full.
