Came here for lunch and grabbed a al pastor burrito to go. Service was a bit on the slow side, I couldn't tell if they were short staffed or what, but the line to order was backed up and not moving particularly fast, and the food was taking some time to come out, not an unreasonable amount of time, but I also seemed to get in just before the rush.
The burrito itself was great, excellent flavors and toppings, a decent portion for the price. The nachos were also good, freshly made. Overall pretty good for a lunch, but if you're really in a rush it may not always be the best option.

I went here again today and was reminded of why I hadn't gone back for so long. The "large" burrito is a fraction of the size of other mexican restarurants / burrito places in Ottawa. The value for the price is not great. Burrito was lacking flavour and very bland. Service also not great as it's not first in and first out. Won't be going back here.

Given its price I think the food is passable but not that enjoyable. The tacos can be a lot more flavorful and have more textures imo. Service and atmosphere is fine as it's a food court. If I was at Queen st fare again, I would try another vendor before coming back to Mercadito.

The best power Bowl I ever had. Just loved it.It had the perfect balance of spicy and sour, as we say in India - “Chatpata”.It was super healthy and filling for stomach at reasonable price.Would recommend 100% for vegetarians.

Only in Ottawa you can get away with selling 3 little street tacos for $20 after tax. Don’t get me wrong they are pretty good, but they will not fill you up. You can get a fully loaded pizza next door for the same price….
I recently visited Mercadito in Ottawa with my family, and I have to say it was an outstanding experience. We ordered their burritos and nachos, and the flavors were absolutely fantastic. The burritos were packed with mouthwatering ingredients, and the nachos were the perfect combination of crispy and cheesy. It was a real treat for our taste buds.What made our visit even more enjoyable was the cozy and welcoming atmosphere at Mercadito. It felt like we were transported to Mexico, with the friendly staff and colorful decor. Dining there with my family was such a memorable and heartwarming experience.If you're in Ottawa and craving Mexican cuisine, I highly recommend Mercadito. We can't wait to go back!

Easily the worst quesadilla I have ever had. It was just a blob of cheese, some meat, and a whole container of grease. No veggies in it at all. Came with a side of sour cream, guac and some tomatoes chopped up in lime water. Sour cream taste as though it had already expired.Biggest issue was the amount of grease oozing out. It literally filled up the bottom of my take out container. And it honestly didnt actually even taste like anything...except grease.Photo is from after I had already cleaned it out once.
