Beautiful spot and gorgeous view. We ordered burgers but had to wait over 30 minutes to get them - with no one else in line for 25 of those minutes. Check that you get what you ordered on the burgers before you walk away to a table. We didn't get the bacon or cheese we paid for - but did get onions we didn't want and the wrong condiments even though they check all of this off in writing as they take your order. We didn't complain - we didn't want to wait another half hour to eat! Staff seemed to want to be anywhere else....

The Anthony Bourdain sandwich is not the actual Anthony Bourdain sandwich though. I can understand why they wouldn't use mortadella but they do not use any thinly sliced meat which is essential to the experience. More layers, more caramelization, more texture. Also little - if any? - mustard was used. It's a simple and delicious sandwich, very easy to knock this one out of the park for no price change really. Shave the ham, use more mustard.

The commission needs to be reformed so that there is real accountability. They should have, at very least, a panel of local elected members to represent those affected by their actions, who then can voice concerns, and, ideally, veto decisions that adversely affect local residents. Right now, there is zero accountability to local residents. I find that appalling.

What a great Bistro to stop in while biking or walking or just because. Great atmosphere shady along the river
Very well located bistro right next to Ottawa river walking/biking pathway with a nice view on the river, spectacular one at sunset. Meters away from remic rapids balanced rocks sulpture site. It is one of my go-to places for a break, a drink and a bite when walking in the area. The bistro staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is above average for a remote bistro. They have live music on weekends in the summer. Overall good vibes with good service and great location.
