I have been raving about Play Food & Wine for years and have thoroughly enjoyed every single time I have dined there. It is the first restaurant I recommend to friends and family visiting Ottawa. I am heartbroken to hear that it is closing, and knew I had to be sure to have one last meal there. And of course, Play didn't disappoint! This place will be missed when it's gone. The food and service were, as always, exceptional. A very fussy friend said that her butternut squash soup was simply the best she'd ever had. I could not find enough positive adjectives in the English language to describe and applaud the beet salad that I had. The servers were unfailingly polite and attentive. Run to the two sister restaurants of this wonderful place!
