Fantastic service, fabulous food and great atmosphere! We've been here 3-4 times and the food is always excellent!
Awesome drinks, great food, beautiful place
What a fantastic experience we had thanks to Sam & Abel. We where there for drinks only and highly recommend their Prohibition Paloma! Great atmosphere, fantastic music and restaurants decor is beautiful. We hope to be back and try their Lobster & Shrimp Rolls because they sounded delicious when we inquired about them. Next time for sure!
Everyone at Prohibition Public House was super friendly and attentive to our table’s needs. We were greeted with, “Hello beautiful people!” and it incredibly kept getting better from there. The ambiance is really cool. We loved all the wood and stone around the restaurant. The booths are so fun and comfortable. Then the drinks and food came out. The cocktails were beautifully presented and all the food was fantastic. We ordered the mushroom pasta, brisket, turbot, and the lobster/shrimp tools. All were outstanding. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and hope to come back when we visit Ottawa again.
the food is amazing and friendly staff. we came in for breakfast and was not disappointed. portions was perfect and delicious. pricing was good too. Definitely a place to check out.
The service and food were excellent. We were on the patio being served by the bar staff. Our server highlighted the menu items that were specials that day and made great recommendations for a wonderful start to a long weekend.
The service by far is the best I have experienced in any bar ..lounge ..or restaurant. The food is excellent ! If you're visiting and like the true atmosphere of an All Capone feel lounge I highly recommend trying this place .
Excellent brunch! And the beans!
Had some drinks with 2 friends. Thought it would be a good idea to order some whisky glasses to stay on the prohibition theme. Ended up serving us in some small shots, expensive for what it is. Not worth it. Authentic place tho, with some really nice decoration. I Loved the smell of the food even I didn’t eat.
A burger here is not worth $30. My friends steak was too fatty.

Went for brunch with some friends!0
From the moment we sat down staff was extremely friendly and attentive (our water never went empty)
The food was all 10/10 - the brunch charcuterie board was great!
Eggs Benny and hashbrowns (which were crispy and delicious) were fantastic too.
Cocktails were hard to drink slowly
Honestly can't say enough good things!
Today a couple girlfriends and I had brunch
at Prohibition House and our experience was nothing short of incredible! The breakfast charcuterie board was a standout—each option was hand-crafted to perfection, with a wonderful variety of flavors that kept every bite exciting…from savory to sweet!! And the Eggs Benny? Perfection on a plate—creamy, rich, and full of flavor. To top it off, the drinks were unreal, expertly made and the perfect complement to the meal. This place is a must-visit for anyone craving top-notch food and drinks…complete with great service!!
Food, service, atmosphere — all great and will come again BUT beware that they calculate suggested tips (the 15%, 18%, 20% options you get when you pay with credit card) based on the AFTER-tax amount. The recommended and honest practice is to suggest tips based on the cost of the meal, not the total with tax. If anyone at Prohibition reads this, I will enjoy my visits even more if you change that practice!
Came here with some friends and I LOVED my burger and fries!! Perfect for casual drinks and the food is amazing!
We came in for late dinner and the food was good. The polenta fries are a must. Our server was a bit intense and maybe was no necessary.
