Delicious spot— we were wandering around the glebe and decided to pop in here for dinner— didn’t know anything about this place but we were pleasantly surprised— karaage chicken appetizer was juicy and garlic dipping sauce was yum— I got the classic shio, gently savoury and addictive, broth was so velvety— and my friend got the “dip” ramen which was special, she really enjoyed— had to wait a while to get our bill but no complaints— a really nice meal! Will be back!Dietary restrictions: Allergens noted under each dish which was really helpful

Incredible ramen shop. I recently moved to Ottawa from Toronto and was really missing solid Asian food! This place is truly bringing authentic and delicious ramen to the streets of Ottawa! I don’t bother looking anywhere else now as this will be my go-to ramen spot. It’s a beautiful shop with kind workers as well.I ordered the kotteri shoyu ramen, which is very rich! It is SO good. The broth was a bit too rich for me to drink the whole bowl, but delicious enough for me to keep going back in with my spoon to enjoy a little more soup! Thankful they have a lighter shoyu option as well. Excited to come back here and try more of their menu! ???Side note: tako wasabi was okay… good for people with a lower spice tolerance.. so for me, it was a bit of a disappointment as I never got the “wasabi kick” I was waiting for while eating it. Hope this improves in the future!??? returning for their ramen.

Great ramen, favourite place from Toronto that came to Ottawa. I always get their spicy veg miso and really like the soy protein crumble. Out of all the vegetarian ramen I've had before, Isshin has the most flavourful broth. Would definitely recommend.

The ramen was average. The broth, noodles, and overall flavor were decent but lacked any standout qualities. Additionally, the portion sizes were somewhat small. While the service was satisfactory, it didn't exceed expectations.

Went here last weekend on their 2 year anniversary for the $10 deal and had the white sesame shio. It was delicious! So creamy and it was fun grinding up the sesame seeds. I would love to try the spicy version. The black sesame tantan was very flavourful as well. It’s nice that there are some unique menu options compared to the other ramen shops in town. The staff were so kind in giving my family and the other customers in line some tea samples while we were waiting outside. However, at regular price, I would prefer just a little bit more noodles! :)

I was surprised that place got so busy after 6 pm on Monday. Literally all tables were taken.I hade a vegetarian ramen with marinated egg and aged tofu. I can definitely recommend this place for vegetarian options.

We went to Ramen Ishiin on Valentine's day for our Niece's 11th Birthday. It was our first time going out with both our almost 2 year old and 1 month old so my wife and I were very nervous about how things might go.We were served by Bee and he was absolutely fantastic! He was very engaging with our oldest. He would give him a high 5 and he brought him a spiderman bowl and a few forks (because my son kept dropping them!).When it was time to feed the baby he offered to warm up the bottle for us and he kept checking in to make sure we were doing okay. Absolutely amazing service and he made our experience one to remember....oh and on top of that the ramen is the best we've ever had!We will definitely be returning to Ramen Ishiin and hope to be served by Bee again!
This place is by far the best ramen in Ottawa. I would highly recommend it for anyone who is vegetarian/vegan, I have had two of their vegetarian ramen options and both have been absolutely delicious, without compromising on flavour in any way.
One of my favorite restaurant in town.I enjoyed the appetizer more than the ramen. Seafood okonomiyaki and age tofu are my lover.Food are very tasty and flavorful in general, however the broth is a little heavy to me
