This is a small, cozy shop with extremely friendly staff—perfect for warming up during the winter. The food is absolutely divine, the kind you’d wish as your last meal, leaving you with the taste of pure ambrosia as you drift off into the afterlife.

Good poutine. Good sauce, real cheese curds and freshly cut fries.

We had a burger, hot dog, and poutine and it was probably some of the worst we’ve had. Two stars because the service was really good.

This is a small shop, they are extremely friendly. It's nice and cozy inside, which is great during the winter. The food is the kind one might ask for on the deathbed to be the final thing they taste so they pass into the afterlife with the taste of ambrosia on their lips.

Since ownership changed, quality, choice and atmoshpere changed....for the worse.
Today, owner was curt with writer on the phone as well as with my wife who attended to choose and pay for the order.
The quality of food and attitude of owner did not live up to prior experiences there.

Amazing quality food and Amazing quality prices. This place has good food and it’s cheaper than your average burger place. I went here for lunch today and got the all dressed burger combo with a drink and fries for 13$.
I was not disappointed not only that but the customer service of I’m guessing the owner is unmatched, keep up the amazing work.

Best poutine in town! The only thing I would change about the poutine is to add little bit more gravy, but besides that the fries are 10/10 - hand cut also, gravy is 10/10 and the cheese is melted and yummy 10/10!
The burger is fire as well! 10/10 highly recommend! - nice thick and juicy patty, added bacon and cheese! - the bacon was thick and cheese was also a banger! Top 3 burger in town for sure!
I highly recommend this establishment folks! p.s. the food was so good that I forgot to take photos ahaha - next time!!

I have to tell you about the insane burger I just had. I have a newfound quest with trying burgers: finding something that can top this.
I'd been meaning to try this place for a while, and I'm disappointed I didn't come before now. I've been on Carling Avenue plenty of times, but I didn't notice this place until I was actually looking for it. That's because it's a hole in the wall, but without the wall. It's in a little shack with a sunbleached sign advertising the name of the place, and it's got a little tiny open sign. You could walk right past the place and not notice it. I'm very, very glad I did not.
Beneath the unassuming and somewhat hidden exterior is a small room with a fan, a condiment station in the corner, and a love test machine I'll have to try next time. And, of course, the wonderful smell of frying food. I swear, it smelled like a carnival in there while my food was cooking.
I ordered a ⅓ pound cheeseburger, all dressed, fries, and a drink. It was on the specials board, if you visit this place I'm sure you'll see it. It was a quick and easy decision to make. And let me tell you…
I left the house thinking “oh, I'll go get a burger. This is not a particularly special thing. This is normal.” But when I sat down and took a few bites of this burger I knew it was one of the best burgers I've had in a good while. It's probably been a few years since I've had one this good. Might be the best ever? Hard to say. I know for certain it was good.
I'd compare the texture to a Harvey's burger a little bit, but if Harvey's was. You know. Good. (I don't like Harvey's burgers.) All dressed, the flavors of the different toppings, bun, and patty worked together spectacularly. It was a great experience.
Moving on to the fries. These had a lot of skin left on them, as is best (in my opinion). I was given a fork, which I discarded like a fool. These are greasy, folks. They were less messy to eat than the burger was, but they certainly left a layer of grease wherever they went. That's not for everyone, but these were quite good in my opinion. If you prefer your fries more crunchy, I'd still recommend trying these, but don't be surprised if they aren't your speed. I'm sure they're excellent under a layer of gravy and cheese. I have to try the poutine next time.
All in all, it was wonderful. I'm still enjoying the last of my Pepsi. This was enjoyable to write. I'll definitely be doing more of this in the future.
Decent portions and good tasting food.
Question for owner: Is the poutine gravy suitable for vegetarians?
This place is not good anymore. His fries are thinly cut like shoestring not much meat. The gravy taste weird on the poutine. Don't go here and waste your money on overpriced lame cut French fries and weird tasting gravy smh.
