Ambience, location and service were all excellent. Fish and duck tacos were also excellent Pork lettuce wraps were disappointing. Pork turned out out to be pork belly which my partner cannot eat. Pork belly was not identified as such on the menu. Vietnamese crepe on the other hand was excellent.
The dining experience was great. They had a wedding reception which was loud but did not bother us. The food is new and fresh and a great experience. I would recommend sidedoor as a great place for a different dining experience.
Great place! The food is really good and services too notch. It never disappoints. Highly recommended.
The food was excellent. The problem was that all of our dishes came too quickly, in that we shortly had all of the dishes on the table at once. This made it hard to enjoy each dish properly (we had asked to have them spaced out and not all at once, but there was barely any time between servings).
The shared 7 course dish option was phenomenal. Highly recommend. Our waitress was attentive and on her game. Will be back again.
Went here on a date. I did not stay to eat or anything as the server introduce himself and we asked if it was possible to move to a different table where it was a little less noisy (there was two big groups behind and the side of us) the waiter responded with sarcasm saying there are people everywhere in this restaurant so he doesn't know what he could do for us. There were many free tables all over the restaurant...Zero effort was placed. So we left.
Unique menu with a great venue and great service. The tuna sashimi and chicken bao buns were amazing
Been here many times and enjoyed it. This time there was very little AC (35 degrees out) and service was pretty slow. Not the greatest experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal! It was recommended by friends as we were visiting from out of province. We had the tuna sashimi (amazing), Vietnamese pancake (delicious and huge prawns), popcorn Thai chicken (large portion, very tasty), coconut fritters (absolutely incredible curry!! but filling, especially as we ordered the naan bread - more like fluffy bread than traditional naan but very delicious and perfect for the enjoying as much of the curry as we could. Very full, too full actually but no one to blame but ourselves! Cool ambiance and loved the layout, different levels which gave a lovely sense of space.
Beautiful restaurant food was amazing the Vietnam pancake was outrageous the black cod sublime coupled with the sticky rice and bok choy pretty amazing Service was excellent

It was a quiet late lunch and we enjoyed our shared meal. But we will definitely come back with our children to share more donuts.
Amazing gem in Ottawa!!! The fries are the best I've ever had!! My boyfriend kept stealing them XD
Seriously, everything was wonderful. The honey chicken was so tasty and tender, the brussel sprouts were really incredible, crispy! Best I ever have! The black cod was so tasty!
Our waitress was just really sweet and gave us a great and attentive service. Any tourist in the area, this is the place to go!
Went there for my birthday dinner with the family and it was a great time! The beef tacos were to die for and the gnocchi w edamame was delicious. Only note is my post-menopausal mum found it too hot!! more AC please :)
The pork short ribs were packed with flavour and had a nice kick to them, but could’ve been more tender- and they were served dry, which took away slightly from the enjoyment. The butter leaf lettuce wraps were a surprise hit: the combination of textures and flavours was spot on. The accompanying kimchi-like garnish had an odd start, but grew on me quickly.
The standout dish was the popcorn Thai chicken . It was absolutely heavenly, crispy, and addictive. The braised pork belly bao was my personal favourite, though the pork leaned more on the crispy side than traditionally braised.
The food overall was tasty and worth the price, but there were a few service-related concerns. Many dishes were topped with cilantro, which isn’t mentioned on the menu and an important detail, especially for those with allergies or strong aversions such as my friends. Unfortunately, no one asked about allergies, and to top it off, we weren’t table-touched at all during the meal, which made the experience feel a bit impersonal.
Very elegant food, upper class went for an event. The selection for non vegetarian or vegans wasn't wide but still very good. Definitely not kid friendly but a great date night spot
