Definitely recommend the tuna crudo and duck ragu!

Overrated.

We were pretty disappointed by the food (simple crowd pleasers, done in an ok way). I’m surprised to see this on everyone’s favourite restaurant list in Ottawa.

Consistently delicious. I had a hard time choosing which dish was my favourite because there were five different ones that were #1 worthy. As someone who likes trying as many things as possible, I really like that they offer half portions of pasta.

There’s a reason why you can’t walk into a place like this without a reservation, because it’s that damn good without the pretentious noise; one of the servers was wearing an M&Ms T-shirt (love this). We sat at the bar and requested simply, “feed us”. The food was fantastic and I have no notes. Go! NOW!

Supply and Demand is by far one of my favourite restaurants in Ottawa! A few things that stand out to me:
- The service: They are warm, knowledgeable, and make the dining experience super seamless. They wipe your table between courses which is just an extra step above and beyond. Even putting a birthday candle on my dessert to celebrate with me.
- The atmosphere: I noticed sitting at a two-top table that they consciously space the tables so you aren't too snug next to your neighbours.
- The FOOD and DRINK: Their homemade pasta (you can get a half size if you want to try more than one, we had the Bucatini Alla Gricia and the Lumache with Duck Ragu) is some of the best in the city, their oyster presentation is crisp and clean, and I appreciate the great balance of meat and veg dishes (you have to try the Brussel sprouts).

Be sure to make a reservation early because they have a small, intimate cozy space. Highly recommend for a dinner with friends, on a date or any celebration. Thanks again for the amazing night!

Service was phenomenal, the staff is amazing and very knowledgeable. The restaurant has a great vibe. It’s intimate yet still lots of space, tables are well spaced out despite it being a smaller restaurant. Food was delicious. Oysters were so fresh, best Brussels sprouts I’ve ever had, and the pasta was to die for. Highly recommend.

The food is amazing. The staff are fabulous. We had a medical incident while at the restaurant and the whole staff mobilized to help. They called an ambulance, cared for us while we waited and were so very kind and compassionate. I am so grateful for how you all responded. Thank you!!!

I've been to Supply and Demand a few times over the past couple of years, and my husband and I decided to make a return trip for his birthday. I have to say this past visit was the best so far! We were warmly welcomed by the hostess at the door and our jackets were taken to be stored elsewhere. Our server was absolutely wonderful and she did a great job explaining the flavour profiles of the dishes we had questions about. She recommended that we order around 2 dishes each in terms of portion size, which ended up being just right for us.

Now for the food! Here is what we tried and my thoughts on each dish:

House bread and butter: Honestly, this has been a highlight every single time I've been here (which I never thought I could say about bread and butter). The bread is so fresh and fluffy and the flavours for the whipped butter change every once in a while to spice things up. This time, it was bacon butter (which, of course, was delicous).

Albacore tuna crudo with lemon: Every time I've been here, I've ordered this dish! It's so refreshing and by the time I'm done, I always wish there was more on the plate.

Fried Brussels sprouts with cashew cheese: Creamy, cheesy goodness!

Roast Duck breast: Perfect crispy skin and cooked perfectly! The jus has a deep and rich flavour that complements the dish really well.

Baked Cod: Flaky and buttery, delicious!

Queen Elizabeth Cake: Very similar to a sticky toffee pudding and just as good!

The menu changes seasonally, so we can't wait to come back and try more new offerings!

Best place in Ottawa ! Book in advance as it’s hard to find a table same day.

Great atmosphere, service was friendly and efficient. Food was all super solid, except for the squid ink pasta (mushy meatballs, the sauce was weak and confusing).

Baked Alaska was PHENOMENAL!!

I’m shocked at how bad the experience was. The staff seemed confused and untrained, the menu items were unavailable, and the plate I received had a hair in it. When I complained, they acted annoyed instead of apologizing. This restaurant seriously needs to improve its hygiene and service.

Food was outstanding. Great sized portions, tasty and flavorful. There's something for every pallette. Service was a little bit off at the beginning (inconsistent, felt like other tables would get more attention constantly) but our server bounced back and took good care of us, so no harm done. Will definitely go back.
