Came here for my partners birthday. The bread was definitely the best part of dinner, very soft and nicely buttered. My favourite dish was the squash cappellacci, absolutely delicious and a little sweet and savoury. The bucatini alla gricia was decent but quite similar to other pasta dishes in Italian restaurants. I did find the menu to be quite limited, as someone who doesn’t eat pork there was not a ton of options. I would however still come back when the menu changes as the food was definitely delicious.

Simply the best pasta in the city. The half plates are a wonderful option. The bread is incredible. The desserts and drinks are always fantastic. My go-to place for when you want to be guaranteed a great meal.

Food was great and the pear cocktail was delicious. The waitress did not ask if we had any dietary concerns or if there was a special occasion.I did notice the staff treated us differently from others (coats and interactions).

Not sure why I didn’t go earlier! Went for birthday dinner with my friends and happy I chose Supply and Demand for rhe occasion. Indeed one of the best service experiences in a long time.Like someone said in a recent Netflix documentary about the best restaurant un the world: you go there then you day dream about brussle sprouts! And that tuna tartare oh my goodness! All at a reasonable price.Needless to say, I’m going back!

In my Ottawa's top 10.The food and service here is always stellar. We make a point of trying everything and to this date, nothing has ever disappointed.Funny enough, one of the moments I anticipate the most with each visit is the free bread and specialty butter that you get served before your meal.... OMG is it ever a heavenly treat! It is extremely hard not to ask for 2nds..........One of the best places for steak tartare and tuna crudo - this place makes arguably the best of both in town.Pastas are very interesting and abundant in flavour. They often change but a staple of the menu is the squid ink rigatoni and it is amazing!A big thank you to the S&D team :)

Well , the place is nice , warm . The seats comfortable at least on the wall side banquet where I sat The server though efficient, was cold , and made me uncomfortable throughout the dinner. The rest of my party (3 people ) were 17 minutes late , so that could be her problem ( but other than that I have no idea ) . The oysters selection was good , they were fresh. I had the kale salad it was fresh and flavourful. My plate was a pork loin with a potato puree . It’s was savoury and over all good. The rest of the party had the Cod fish dish . Which was also good . Nothing was spectacular, but all were good . The portions were very small and as such all dishes were over priced at 38 for the pork and 44 for the Cod . The desert prices . 15 for a tiny Flan , 20 for a candied orange stuffed with chocolate mousse, these were more or less ok not spectacular , but the baked Alaska was 30 bucks .. didn’t even order it as I saw a table with it and again very tiny . Maybe other people will pay 30 buck for a desert , not me . The rest of my party had the candied orange dish , they liked it .Food quality overall was good , preparation was good , presentation was good . Big issue other than over priced tiny portions was the server that hovered over me when presented with the credit card machine , the tip choices were 18 , 22 or 25% . She stood overtop me while I put in my PIN code and stared while I selected the tip amount ..I took this as an intimidation tactic, to shame me into a bigger tip . I used a custom menu option and put in 15% even though the server made me uncomfortable as I thought about the rest of the staff, bartender ( though I never ordered alcoholic drinks ) line cooks , chef dishwasher etc. hopefully the tips are pooled and everyone paid out . . Unfriendly server leaves me out in the cold on “Supply and Demand”.

This is my favourite restaurant in Ottawa. The food, service and atmosphere are excellent. I've had the pleasure of being served by Janine on multiple occasions and she is so lovely, professional and knowledgable. I can't recommend this place enough. My favourites: homemade bread, brussel sprouts, beet salad, salt cod and potato croquettes, squash cappellacci and the sweet corn pasta.

We live out of town and make a point to come to Supply and Demand whenever we are visiting family in Ottawa. Great to celebrate a special occasion (we have been for birthdays, anniversaries, etc.). Food is always delicious and what a great space.

Let’s be honest, Supply and Demand is one of Ottawa’s best restaurants. The drinks, the pasta, the apps, always the best. The kale ceasar is the best Ive ever had, and their bread is to die for. Their fresh pasta is so good and always hits the spot.
