Friendly service and lots of choices on a busy Saturday. My daughter picked a dozen macarons and I forced her to share...after a taste, I know why she didn’t want to share ?!

The place is not busy so u can take your time enjoy the dessert and drink. But the dessert and drink quality are not really good. And the staffs need more training or the customer will feel not trustful.

I ordered a large cake. Paid extra for the cake and they send me a small cake. This is not the way to do business. Yes the cake was great and all that . That's not the point. You dont charge extra for a large size and send a small. Very unhappy

I ordered a large tiramisu cake today. off skip the dishes. I paid extra for a large. they send me a regular small cake. total bait and switch. this is the second time I have ordered a large size and received small size cake. totally ruin birthday surprises for people. and they dont even have the decency to call and say we dont have the size you want. I have ordered over 10 cakes from them so far. and if this is their new business practice . I'm done !

We stopped in for a late night dessert after dinner. Had a creme brûlée and a raspberry mousse. Both really yummy. The woman working was kind and helpful. We requested water in “to stay” cups and she was happy to provide us with an alternative to their single-use cups and plastic bottles. Thanks for the lovely experience! We will be back for macarons :)

I have had to change my review after recent visit where the service was so terrible I will no longer go back.I dropped in to pick up pastries as gifts, as I have done at least a dozen times in the past two years. The woman serving me had a difficult time understanding English, so a 10 minute visit extended into 30 minutes as I grew increasingly frustrated with her not selecting the right pastries I identified both verbally and pointed to. It was painful. I would point and request one pastry and she would grab one two trays over. I even tried speaking in French. No luck.Better still, when I finally got to the cash I explained there was a special price for ordering a dozen. I've bought them this way for two years. She didnt believe me and tried calling the owner who was not responding. They made me sit there another 10 minutes before they offered a special deal of one free. Still $10 over the price I had previously paid in the past. And now it was going on 40 minutes in the store for what was supposed to be a quick pick up.I finally left. Without the pastries. The service was horrible. The lack of deference to a returning loyal customer was abysmal.I would suggest that if they keep rotating staff who have difficulty with English that they have the dozen for $50 price listed somewhere. The woman serving me made me feel like she believed I was trying to scam her, when this has been the price I've paid on at least a dozen visits. And that's a terrible way to make a loyal customer feel.I will not go back. I rescind the 5 stars I had previously given this place.

I have always had a wonderful experience at Sweet Bite. The cakes and cookies are always delish, raspberry mousse being a favourite of mine. We frequently bring these through to parties and other events and they are always a hit. The staff are polite, courteous and helpful, even though, at times there are some "lost in translation" moments - but this is Ottawa and we expect that. There is one staff who is extremely helpful - always greeting me with a smile and friendly "Hello, how can I help you?"

The cafe atmosphere was nice! Loved the style of the cafe and the service was good. However, I'm giving Sweet Bite a poor review because I was really disappointed in the drinks (Iced coffee/lattes) my family and I had ordered. The drinks tasted very watery and it seemed like they just poured a dash of coffee in our drinks. The pastries we had was nothing special, barely had any flavor or sweetness to it.

On Dec.13th 2019 had a horrible experience with a nighttime staff and absolute stranger and another unknown customer who I had no contact with.

This is a lovely spot. I had an amazing black forest cake and then we bought some macarons to go. All were delightful but the salted caramel and the lemon were the best.

Great service and delicious cakes. Will definitely be bringing my friends back. Quiet and clean, great for a break during the day.

A hidden Gem on bank street. Great if you have a sweet tooth, amazing cake selection! Bought a bunch to take home to the family. Will be back!
