Thai Express Restaurant Ottawa

Finally today, I decided to go back to Thai Express. I work just across the street and due to bad customer service from my previous experiences, I avoided the place. Today, I thought to give them another chance, and I thought to myself that I would just suck it up on the bad service. Well, I received burnt food for takeout. Customer service was finally improved because the regular girl cashier no longer worked there, but how could you possibly serve customers burnt food? You can smell it as you were cooking and you can see the blackness. There's a snow storm out so I didn't bother to go back, so I had to eat this terrible food I paid for. The franchisor of Thai Express really should be aware of this place, I have heard nothing but horrible things about them. And once again, they have proved everyone right.

UPDATE*** There's a new owner at this location and they have honestly changed this place around. The food is delicious, the customer service is superb. I am truly impressed with the new staff and happy to come back here over and over again. Thank you!

Solid food in a pinch and they do good gluten-friendly options. Staff were super helpful. Oddly, the hours in the door and online don't match, but they told us the online hours are the right ones.

I’ve never really liked Thai Express until going to this location. The food is delicious and the woman at the front is so nice. I’ll definitely keep going with to this specific location

The food is terrible. I got a beef stir fry, and they gave me hard thick dried up rice.
, with rock hard beef. The spring roll was black like it was fried over and over again over the last several days. I pointed this out and they blamed the fryer. I mentioned my stir fry beef tasted weird and the rice was cold, rock hard. The workers proceeded to say “everything is fresh”. Nope, it clearly wasn’t.

Ordered general thai chicken, got a whole 2 or 3 pieces of chicken then the rest were just, like cripsy bits of batter no meat. On top of that, the rice you could tell was quite old and not even remotley warm. Had several chunks of solid rice balled together and you could taste that it was like a weird stale but not stale taste. Honestly was not impressed compared to other locations.
