I’ve had Thai Express many times and felt the taste wasn’t the same - they did seem really busy though. Lady was really friendly and gave me a free sample, which was nice. Got Pad Thai with tofu and a Thai Soup with Chicken, but they accidentally put tofu in the soup as well. The tofu was not good at all, so it sucked to have them in both dishes.

Food was good but I was shocked by the portion sizes this time around! Not only did prices go up significantly, but the portion sizes were half the usual! The cake in a box used to be $6 for twice the size. Now it’s $8.10 for half the size.We got two pad Thai and the bowls arrived and were only half full. I know we are dealing with either inflation or shrinkflation….but this is the first time I’ve seen both at once.Not the individual restaurants fault I guess, but company wide, this seems crazy

Best Thai Express in Ottawa. Friendly staff and clean and tidy dinning area. Everytime we are at the area, we always order food here, the sweet lady always gives us freebies like small soup that perfectly goes to my Chicken Pad Thai, and a piece or two of pork and chicken dumplings for the Misses Tom Yum Soup. Dont forget to leave a nice tip. Worth every penny!

Of all the locations in Ottawa, this one’s my favourite. The food taste better for some reason. The service can’t be beat. They are always so sweet and happy to see people. The ambiance was on par with a funeral home: dark and ominous, which first made us think as we first arrived that the place was closed. Unfortunately, it wasn't.The service was fast and the food was hot, which is the best thing I can say about the food. We had mango chicken and pad thai chicken served in flimsy cardboard boxes. Both dishes could put a diabetic into shock--it was that sweet. The chicken may have also suffered from varicose veins as it was stringy and hard to chew. Sadly, the chicken died in vain. There used to be, when times were better, chopsticks, napkins, sauces and plastic utensils available, but due to our not so thriving economy, they only gave us one napkin and a plastic fork each that lost the battle with the chicken when trying to poke it.I give it 2 stars because I can.
