The Clarendon was very nice and had great ambience — we had the Katsu Chicken and the tomahawk pork chop — both outstanding — Server was great as well — would highly recommend this restaurant in Byward Market.
We went to this restaurant for dinner. Even though the restaurant was not busy and we were seated quickly, the service went sadly downhill from there. We waited ages to order our drinks and then waited a long time to get our cocktails. The waiter did come over to advise that he was still waiting on the drinks but suggested we order the food. Thinking it would also take ages, we ordered, but in this situation, the food arrived at the same time as our cocktails, showing the poor communication between server, bar, and kitchen. We did enjoy the food, although would have preferred to finish our cocktails and have had the chance to order wine with the meal. There was one server for the entire room and he was not really a multitasker. The couple beside us waited ages just to get their bill, and similarly, we had to wait for ours and wait even to pay! So despite a nice decor and pretty good food, the service just put us off the place.

Honestly, I was quite disappointed with the tuna salad I received. Some of the ingredients were too plain while others were overly savory, and unfortunately, they didn’t come together well. The location and atmosphere were nice, but the food and drink I ordered were not

Literally nothing bad to say. Was a bit early, got sat no problem. Cozy tucked a way table but still a good view of the aesthetics and ambience. Services was fantastic, great cocktails and food, but really just felt taken care of from beginning to end.
Excellent service. Pizza excellent. Great spot/atmosphere.

I had made reservations on an app, which indicated there were no tables available outside. Upon arriving we were given an option and chose outside. My wife had Korean wings and myself the burger. Wings were great and the burger well, possibly the best I have ever had over 60 plus decades. Knowing that this is one of the most difficult weekends of the year for staffing at restaurants, ours was very good. Thank you for a great meal and experience !
We had a great brunch! The service and atmosphere were great! Thank you to our server Valérie!

Ordered the sausage and pepper pizza and the chicken Katsu bowl. The pizza crust was burned and almost the whole pizza tasted burned. The chicken in the bowl was cooled well but the mixture of the sauces were not great. Would not order these items.

Food was great for brunch but all the plates came with salad that was drenched in dressing and overly salted. I would ask for dressing on side in future. Otherwise delicious.
Great breakfast and nice drinks at night. The atmosphere is always enjoyable, and the service feels caring and welcoming. The only downside is the long wait for breakfast and that we often have to ask for coffee refills instead of them being offered.

Amazing drinks, good music, ambient atmosphere — perfect for dates, friend gatherings, and girls' nights!
The patio was gorgeous, and the food was delicious. Our waitress may have been very busy as we saw her rarely. Once the food was ordered, however, it came quickly.
We enjoyed some small plates in the patio. It was so lovely. Great service and food was perfect

I specially went to there to taste the Scotch egg, but disappointed that the waitress said they will have it in evening, not sure they will have it anymore even though in evening, the other review was left in few years ago . We stayed for the brunch, my dish looked good, but eggs yolks were hard(suppose to soft and liquid), the potatoes taste was good, but percentage of portion was high, also good at it has less oil. I couldn’t give higher stars, because nothing was special.

Not a very good experience. 1) The restaurant did not know we were coming, despite our Open Table reservation. 2) One order was served "with onions" despite a specific request to not include onions. 3) The "Tomato and Basil" pizza ordered was served with the message,, "Sorry, there was no basil available." 4) No compensation was offered with respect to the inadequacies.
