We always go to the keg when doing a gig in Ottawa. Decent prices for a good steak, plus they had Empress gin!!! My favorite!!!

The Keg never disappoints. Food is always good. Very impressed with the wait staff team in this location. They are very diligent with the follow up after learning we hv peanut allergy. First the waitress asked a whole bunch of questions then the manager came by to make sure that nothing is overlooked. 👍👍👍

I recently visited one of the best steakhouses in the city, and I had such a great experience! The staff was super friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. I tried their 'Whiskey Sour' shot and the blue cheese steak, both of which were fantastic! The only downside was that the fries weren’t homemade cut, which was a bit of a letdown. But honestly, everything else was so awesome that it totally made up for it! Always a great experience at The Keg in Ottawa! The food is consistently excellent, the steaks are cooked perfectly, and the atmosphere is welcoming. The staff are friendly, attentive, and make sure everything is just right. Highly recommend for a nice night out.

Pretty hard to screw up a Burger and a beer, but The Keg in the Byward Market seems to know how to do it .
Restaurant half empty and took 1hr to get our BURNT Burgers ,cold and old fries and to top it off a warm Miller beer .
1st and last time for me .

I’ve never encountered this before. I called the restaurant to find out about accessibility.. since the keg is behind the times and doesn’t list details on their website. The hostess that answered the phone was the most useless she possibly could have been. To the question, do seats require you to go up or down stairs… she replied depends how busy.. I re stated the question in various formats even to the extent.. if someone is in a wheelchair can they get to a table, which she still had no clue. She gave up and said I’m going to try to get you a manager.. then proceeded to hang up on me. Well done Keg.

The steaks were prepared as requested.

Unfortunately very impolite front house staff. They could not honor our reservation, hostess was young and not well trained, had to simply leave.

Our waiter was fantastic, very attentive and made the perfect choice for my Sangria. Food was not the greatest, appetizer was over cooked and my husband's steak was fatty.
