I am upset that they are closing. This place has been a go to for me and my family for amazing Chinese food for the last 20 years. Thank you for everything and I wish you the best. I will never have better deep fried tofu :-)
It's decent by Ottawa Chinese food standards, and they have some authentic dishes if you know what to look for. We've also tried a few of their western Chinese dishes but weren't too impressed, finding that the meats had too much batter...but no biggie since we normally skip those. Food aside, the place truly needs a revamp...the carpets are old, dinnerware is super dated, tables still use plastic tablecloths and I'm not going to get into the state of their...
We went as a family party of six for a pre-Christmas get together. The service was attentive and friendly. Everyone appeared to enjoy their food. At least that was what they were saying during the meal.I'm vegetarian and so could share with the rest but the dish that I had was supposed to be spicy and it was that and delicious as well.I would certainly go to this restaurant again.We intend to go back for an anniversary dinner in the next couple of weeks.
