It was fusion sushi restaurant North Americanized sushi. The ambiance of the restaurant is great. The taste was okay. I know better ones in the other cities of Canada but in Ottawa, probably it will within top 3 I would say.

Vegetable gyoza was absolutely delicious! You should pass on the Pad Thai. Flavourless and not worth it, was a huge disappointment.

Good quality sushi for a reasonable price. We waited a bit long to be seated (we had a reservation), but all service following that was impeccable. Our waitress was kind enough to give us recommendations from the menu as first timers to Tomo, and was very pleasant. I do wish they had dessert options, however, as following sushi up with a mango or green tea ice cream has always been a favourite.

It’s unfortunate that despite all the good reviews here we had a terrible experience in this place. We were a group of 10 . From the Poor management , poor service and cold food , then 1 hr wait to pay for the bills that all got mixed and none of us paid for what we actually ate! we ended up paying because we couldn’t wait any longer !!!! Manager never stepped in to help the new server !! When we spoke to him he kept apologizing !! Your apology doesn’t fix our horrible experience at your restaurant!!! It’s a shame !! I do not recommend this place to anyone!! Would never go back again !!!

Great spot in Ottawa for sushi! The atmosphere is really great. It’s nice and dim with Great music playing in the Evening before it turns in to a “club”. The food is great and high quality.I didn’t stick around for the club time as it isn’t really my thing but overall looked like the crowd coming in was a bit older and more professional.

The food and initial service were excellent. However, it got messy in the end, even though I had paid more than $200 at the restaurant, they did everything to push us towards the exit. Together, we had to pay at least $1000 and we were shown the exit like vermin. There are better places than this with the same type of vibe in the area.
