My friend and I wanted to try some Mexican food, so we stumbled upon Torta Boyz online. From the first bite, we were impressed! The food, drinks, appetizers, and desserts were all amazing. The service was fantastic as well. Thank you for such a wonderful experience—I will definitely be returning!

My husband and I decided to take a road trip from the most western part of Canada Vancouver to Halifax covering 60 hours of driving. By the time we got to Ottawa we had our fill of fast food and wanted something authentic and fresh; organic and most of all memorable. I googled a restaurant near the Trans Canada Hwy and the Torta Boyz came highly recommended. Upon reviewing the pictures and the comments, we were sold on the idea of a truly authentic Mexican moment. We were greeted with a pleasant hospitable waitress named Alea whom then helped explain the menu in detail along with the flavours accompanying each dish. We enjoyed her warmth and hospitality as we exchanged stories from the west coast driving here. The food was mouth watering and I almost licked the serving dishes. I highly recommend the Asada fries smothered with fresh cilantro; homemade guacamole along with pico de gallo and their signature salsa morita. Truly I’m sad we shared as I tried stabbing the fork to devour them fries all to myself. My husband ordered the Taco de Pescado featuring beer battered Haddock. Highly recommend that one and my favourite was the Taco de Pastor featuring pork shoulder snuggled with pineapple, salsa and avocado. What more could we expect when the chef surprised us with a complimentary tasters choice of churros for the road. Ok we nearly squealed back to order more. That made my day and we will make it our destiny spot coming through in our return trip

First and foremost, shoutout to our server Dylan. One of the best servers we’ve ever had (and we go to a LOT of restaurants all around the world) He was attentive, knowledgeable, had great recommendations and very kind to all of us and especially to my 11 year old nephew. Dylan is an all-star and made our night!!
Now that our praise for the service has been shared… As for the food? The food was absolutely phenomenal. We started with the Asada fries which were so fresh, crispy and had incredible toppings. I’ll be craving those daily. Then we had a couple tacos, again..incredible and full of flavour. Then we each had the Tortas, 2 carne asada and 1 pastor - ELITE. Likely one of the best if not the best sandwich I’ve ever had. To finish it off, we had their fresh, crispy and fluffy churros. Can’t forget the spicy margs that were also so delicious. Spicy, refreshing, and well made. To say this surpassed expectations is an understatement, and our expectations were already quite high.
In the words of my nephew “if I could give this 11 stars instead of 5 stars, I would do that”
We’ll be back, many times over! One more thanks again for Dylan (absolute rockstar he is). Wish I had more food photos but when they hit the table they didn’t last long 😅if you’re looking for one of the best restaurants in Ottawa, look no further and ask for Dylan!

This place was so good, I'm pretty sure my taste buds filed for divorce from the rest of my mouth because they wanted to live here forever. The salsa had a kick that made me question all my life choices, but in the best way possible. And don't even get me started on the size of the torta – I'm convinced they wrap a whole cow in that thing and call it a single serving. I'm going to need a siesta... and maybe a bigger pair of pants...

The staff are always kind, welcoming, and attentive. They make you feel like a valued guest every single time, which is something you don’t find everywhere. Even when the restaurant is full, they do their best to accommodate everyone and make sure each guest has a pleasant experience. It’s true that getting a reservation here can sometimes be a bit difficult because it’s such a popular spot but honestly, that just shows how great it is! Once you get a table, you’ll see it’s completely worth the wait. They always manage everything in the best possible way.
