The food is great and i understand that Mike is a one man show buy i ordered by phone at 5pm and mike said it would be ready at 530 . I show up at 545 and its 6pm and i still havent received my order. Other people have come and gone and picked up their orders. I do not understand why orders are not prepared according to when they are placed this is not the first time that this has happened often when i order by phone and show up when mike says to come im still waiting for 15-20-30 minutes...very frustrating and dissapointing....Update i paid for boneless and have many bones in goat rotis 5 large bone and 2 small ones and a bunch of bone shards in 2 goat rotis.....very dissapointed and where is the pepper??

If you eat to live, eat whatever wherever, but if you live to eat, then it's about your passion for good food. Had lunch at Tropical Heat. Always fantastic and always fresh! Yummy Chicken Curry Roti and Ox Tail with Rice! Friendly service! exquisite hot sauce if you like it hot!

Went here with my family for lunch today and had the goat roti-it was absolutely delicious and the hot sauce (homemade) was really great. This place is run by a man who has been in the business for 30 years and advised us that he was the first Caribbean food restaurant in Ottawa.
