We had our work Christmas dinner here, and it was fantastic! The food was delicious—beautifully cooked, well-seasoned, and perfect for a festive celebration. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure everything ran smoothly for our group. The atmosphere was warm and lively, with just the right balance of holiday cheer. Great selection of drinks!A perfect spot for a special occasion—highly recommend!

Went for brunch recently. Big fan of the location and ambiance. My English breakfast tea was quite nice and service was quick and friendly. I ordered the eggs Benny - it was good but nothing amazing. Slightly disappointed also by the home fries, which were tiny and what I felt to be a smaller portion size. Others seemed to be enjoying mimosas and nice mocktails, which I would have liked to try another time. I’d come back, but I think for drinks only since I wasn’t floored by the food.

Went for dinner here last night & was very impressed. The staff are very friendly and the food & wine are delicious! I had the duck tar tar, chardonnay and fish as well as the sticky toffee pudding. Highly recommend visiting this place! Such a cute locally owned restaurant & one of my favourites here in Ottawa! Prices are a bit high but it's worth every penny!

Gastropub has always been a favourite, but last couple of times have been a letdown. Mains have become a bit absurd in terms of size and presentation. Four smallish scallops (which were delicious, but four?) in a bowl with two slices of bacon, a bunch of very bland and seedy peppers, and a yummy creamy sauce. Service was a bit amateur compared to previous visits. Friends enjoyed their braised beef.

It’s pretty good but way too expensive for what it is. 9$ for a sleeve of beer?!

The braised ribs were so salty. I ate mine however, now I'm having sodium sweats. Prices on the website were less than we paid for same. What's with that? Drinks were reasonably priced though and the coffee was good. This meal was disappointing overall.

Excellent dinner out with family. Courteous and warm service, and the food was great. Steak frites pictured here. Would definitely return.

I was a regular for many years. Haven’t been in a year and a half and recently declined an invitation due to a negative experience.

We went in late in the evening on new year’s. We were met coldly by the manager(?) who asked us immediately if we would be ordering food. After having us look over the menu standing in the entry, we were seated at a small table in the back corner, although the restaurant was mostly empty and remained that way. It was clear we were treated this way due to being a couple in our mid-twenties, most patrons are older. Food was good but this left a bad taste in my mouth.

Dawson as a server and Mike in the kitchen are better than Batman and Robin. These two were a dynamic duo that made our lunch visit an unforgettable experience. Bottomless water to stay hydrated, first class carbonara pasta and hand crafted pizza with a special twist - which is a Pinsa Romana flour base. Stop by here the next time you’re in Ottawa or the west end.
