Not all food is as good as in Georgia and Armenia but on the whole such a place in Ottawa is a great contribution to multicultural tastes of the city.
Service is friendly and professional! I’d like to send special thanks to the waiter named Dina!🙏

Went there with friends for a dinner. Was pleasantly surprised about this place. The food was very delicious. Khinkali are top notch, and we loved absolutely everything. Service was very good, orders were served quickly, our waitress Alina was very attentive. I wish they they have bigger menu, but as they just opened and we've been told they still working to expand more options to the menu. Overall experience was very good and left happy and full. Definitely planning to come back and also will recommend to visit this place.

We recently visited this newly opened place and wanted to leave an honest review. The interior is beautiful and interesting. Unfortunately, the food and prices were very disappointing. The prices do not match the portion sizes at all. The menu stated that the meat platter was meant for five people, but based on what we received, it was clearly not suitable for five, especially for its price. Our meat platter was oversalted and overcooked, and later we found out that it was supposed to include a kebab and a sauce, which were not served. The cheese khinkali were completely cold inside and cheese was not melted at all, and the Adjarian khachapuri had raw dough at the bottom(( Sadly, we left with a negative impression despite the good service and nice interior.

We were really excited to finally try a Georgian restaurant in Ottawa. The customer service was friendly, the restaurant itself was very clean, nicely decorated, and in a great location.

Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite meet our expectations. Most dishes lacked seasoning — especially the kebabs, which couldn’t be adjusted with salt. The potatoes were undercooked, however, we sent them back and the staff kindly removed them from the bill, which we appreciated.

The soup of the day never arrived and we eventually had to take it to go after finishing our main meals. Wait times were also quite long,
the first item to arrive after about 40 minutes was the tea.

Overall, the restaurant has a lot of potential and is very promising. With some improvements to the food and timing, it could be a great spot.

Everything we ordered was delicious. Limited menu, but happy to have a great Georgian restaurant in Ottawa.

Finally tried the only Georgian restaurant in Ottawa, and it was genuinely excellent.

The food is authentic and bold, not “adjusted” or watered down. The khinkali were juicy and perfectly made, the khachapuri was rich and comforting, and the meat dishes were cooked by people who clearly know what they’re doing. Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and honest.

The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, without trying too hard, and the service was calm and friendly.

Overall, this place fills a big gap in Ottawa’s food scene. We left very satisfied and will definitely be coming back.

Highly recommended.

We prayed and hoped that Georgian cuisine would one day appear in Ottawa. Because it is the best and most proud cuisine in the world! Every dish was made with love and generosity. The Khachapuri was so big that it was enough for two people. I definitely recommend khinkali as well!!
We came without a reservation and were warned that the wait for our food would be longer, but it was very quick!
The staff is amazing, kind, and hospitable!
Be sure to visit this restaurant! It has only just begun its journey, but we wish it prosperity and success!
Now it's our family place, and we will definitely be coming back more often!❤️

Yan’s Restaurant is an absolute must-try and a true gem in Ottawa’s ByWard Market. From the moment you walk in, the ambience stands out — warm, lively, and welcoming, with a perfect balance of elegance and comfort that makes you want to linger.

The Ajarian Khachapuri (Ajaruli) is the clear star of the menu and an absolute beast in the best way possible. The boat of freshly baked dough, filled with rich, perfectly melted Georgian suluguni cheese, is indulgent, authentic, and bursting with flavor in every bite. It’s one of those dishes you keep thinking about long after the meal is over.

Their khinkali are just as impressive — juicy, well-seasoned, and clearly made with care. Each bite delivers deep, comforting flavor and showcases true Georgian craftsmanship. The eggplant rolls and other Georgian starters are also excellent and beautifully prepared.

The wine selection deserves special mention, especially the imported Armenian pomegranate wine, which was outstanding and paired beautifully with the food. The cocktail program is equally strong, and the overall drink menu is thoughtfully curated.

What truly elevates Yan’s is the hospitality. The owners, Gohar and Armen, create a genuine Armenian-Georgian dining experience where attention to detail, friendly service, and passion for great food are felt throughout the entire visit.

Amazing food, welcoming staff, fantastic atmosphere — Yan’s is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates authentic flavors, quality ingredients, and memorable dining. Highly recommended.

Amazing new Georgian restaurant in Ottawa, great food, great European wine and a great vibe! Greatly enjoyed the seafood toast, Khinkali, and katchapuri. They also had excellent Armenian style baklava.
