The salsa was authentic as were the tacos (I tried the recommended potato taco- Wow) There is a genuine enthusiasm for the providing of their food at Nomada. I wish there was one in Toronto . Well done”

“My friends and I took a detour to try The Nook Crêperie and I am so thankful we did! No matter where you are going, if you drive past Pembroke, and you have a mouth, do yourself a favor and stop in. The restaurant has a nice patio. The interior is spacious, welcoming, and attractive. Our waitress, Alyssa, was so pleasant and cheerful. She shared her favorites and was an attentive hostess. And the food!!!! All four of us loved our crepes (3 savory, 1 sweet). The coffee and oat milk cappuccino were delicious, which is just as important when on a long drive. I can't wait to go back and try Alyssa's recommendations.”

“To say we were impressed with this restaurant would be an understatement. Not only were we warmly greeted by the hostess, but our server Kristy was also very pleasant and helpful. The food was excellent, we ordered a caesar salad and shared the lasagna which was more than enough for 2. Kristy was an excellent server who appeared to be somewhat nervous about doing a good job as it was only her second shift. I highly recommend this restaurant if your looking for excellent food, great atmosphere and amazing service at a reasonable price.”

“This is my first time in Pembroke and I’m staying at a hotel nearby. So I looked for what was close by and I could walk here. So I did. They have a great selection of beer (if that’s your thing) and a variety of food. It’s mostly pub fair but a small handful of standouts. I had the applewood smoked salmon with a starter Caesar salad and rice pilaf and I was really impressed. It was delicious. If/when I come back to Pembroke I’ll definitely come back and try something g else.”

“Despite “ valley eats” Nicks chicken did not disappoint. The BEST chicken in the Valley. Worth the $$$ Even though valley eats driver was 1 1/2 hrs late the food was still great. Next time we will go get it ourselves, and eat our food hot!”

“Last night I picked up a pack of your cinnamon rolls from Kenny’s store in Westmeath. I was eyeing them up while in line and I couldn’t resist. These rolls were by far the best we have ever had, from the soft bun to the delicious cinnamon and the cream cheese icing. Will be getting these again.”

“Ok, huge Valley Buns fan here. The lunchbox deal is the absolute best - thank you for this amazing lunch today (and many times previous). Secondly, I picked up a $14.99 pizza kit and fed 4 adults and 5 children, AND we all had a good time making our pizzas. Cheese sticks are an easy add to the kids lunches these days. Lots of treats (Nanaimo bars yesss). Huge selection and everything is so fresh, and staff are so speedy and helpful. You guys are the best!”

Pad Kha Paw: spicy Thai basil fried rice
-Tom Yum soup: spicy and sour soup
-Pad Thai
-Fried spring rolls: they are home-made!
-Aromatic coconut rice: I like it better with sticky rice, a classic traditional desert from Southeast Asia.
-Thai smoothie: I only tried mango and it is amazingly fresh and fruity

PS. You can ask the owner for her homemade chili oil if you want your food extra spicy”

I’ve eaten a dozens of Indian restaurants across Canada and this is definitely in the top 5. Only reason why I have 3 stars for atmosphere is for the time being it’s take out only. Must try!”

“This Dairy Queen is amazing, I’ve been to a few dairy queens but this one was just perfect. I went though drive though and had a wonderful lady there (I believe her name is Reagan) she was very friendly and kind. “Harvey’s really lets you make each meal your own! I had the Crispy Chicken Wrap, and it was packed with flavor. The buffalo sauce added a nice kick, and I appreciated the option to pick my own toppings. The Buffalo Chicken Salad was also delicious, with a good balance of spice and crunch. Great food, friendly service, and a relaxed setting—I’ll be back soon!”
