Sorry Nick’s……I wrote a post a few weeks ago, and it was not good. Nick’s offered me my next order free to give them another chance and to remove the negative post (which I agreed too). Well, things have not been the same since this place changed hands. I beg to differ with anyone who says “it’s the same” recipe….its not! The chicken is over cooked and what ever they put on as a coating, it’s different……”if something ain’t broke, don’t fix it”....read full review
From all the reviews regarding Nick's fish & chips,(On Friday's) must say... people are right about the size of the fish. ( It is a large piece) It was done to perfection, very tasty. I had a gravy to go with the fries, it was way to salty and could have been just a little thicker, I also had some of their coleslaw which was not bad. I would definitely eat there again.
Even under pressure, short staffed and lots of orders the crew did a great job tonight! Yes our orders took longer than normal - but our pizza and chicken were cooked perfectly and tasted great!

Nick's Chicken House & Pizzeria is a popular spot for chicken lovers. The chicken is moist, tender, and full of flavor, earning it the title of the best chicken in the Ottawa Valley. Nothing beats having a box of Nick’s chicken with a local beer while watching Hockey night in Canada. The excellent poutine is a perfect match with the chicken, and the homemade tartar sauce for the fish n chips special is highly praised. The friendly staff provides great customer service, making each visit enjoyable.
For pizza fans, the Hawaiian pizza is a great choice, especially when paired with in-house dip options like buffalo BBQ sauce or tzatziki. The pizza is made in an old-school stone oven, with everything from scratch—dough, sauce, and dips. The 3-piece chicken meal is incredible, and the gravy, made from scratch with the right ingredients, is a standout.
Nick’s is also known for its sub sandwiches, which are highly recommended. Customers appreciate the effort to make food from scratch, including the dough, sauces, and sliced meats. The homemade dipping sauces, especially the spicy garlic, are also highly praised. The store is clean, has easy parking, and the staff is polite, helpful, and friendly. Mainly a takeout place, Nick’s has been serving the community since 1969, remaining a trusted spot for exceptional food and service.
