I love the location, right downtown Perth on the River Tay. I loved my meal, the schnitzel with the mushroom gravy and my husband had the Black Forest schnitzel. He didn't love his as much as I loved mine, but we tasted each other's meal and I thought his was delicious, too. Natasha was a wonderful server. I definitely recommend dining here.
I have never had a bratwurst served to me covered with saurkraut and what must have been honey mustard with almost a salad dressing consistency. The sweetness was weird and off putting though I scraped off all I was able. The sausage itself and side salad were very good however, so maybe the kitchen made a mistake? I love German food but it was so weird, but the other dishes I saw being served looked good, so again, I hope this was an aberration. Regardless, ask for mustard on...
We were a small party of three and made reservations earlier that day. Thank goodness we did because the place was full. We had a lovely spot by an old stone wall looking out over the river. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming. The waiter was great- friendly, helpful, speedy without rushing and pleasantly funny. He added to our enjoyment of the evening. The food was delicious!
