“Sept 9, 2025 We stopped in at Izzy Schooners (we had gone there every year while camping )and found that there was a new owner. He is very personable. The restaurant was cleaner. The food was terrific! If your in Port Burwell stop in and support this restaurant.”

this is the Cooks pizza i remember!
i ordered my usual: meat lovers stompboli, garlic butter and mozzerella on top.
it was perfect; i almost ate the whole thing in one sitting.
the owner and staff truly have service as a priority, they confirmed my order over the phone and when i picked up my order they confirmed all was good.
top shelf service, thank you so much to everyone at Cooks.

Hopefully there is new management and they are working things out.
My last two orders (stromboli) have been burned and nothing was said. Both orders I asked for feta to be substituted for cheese which didn’t happen.
Unfortunately I did not check the order before paying so that’s my fault.
Years ago I’ve eaten here and both food and service was great. Hopefully this is just a bump in the road.
I look forward to future orders of great food.

wow - not even 4hrs and i have an amazing response. truth be told, i expected this because this is normal from cooks pizza. they are not open now but i'll follow up with a phone call as they requested once they are open.
