Melina's Family Restaurant

While visiting Port Colborne, we decided to have lunch at this Family Restaurant. The place was actually bigger than it looks when you first walk in. It was a popular place and there was a bit of a lineup, but it moved quickly. They had both a breakfast and lunch menu, so lots to choose from. We decided to get the spinach & feta cheese omelette ... and an order of Eggs Benedict. The home fries that came with the meals were really good, however, the English muffins under the Eggs Benedict were a little burnt on the bottom. Also, their brewed coffee was not the best. Having said that, it was still an enjoyable meal with excellent service and a pleasant atmosphere. Was reminiscent of restaurants I have visited in the States with wholesome home-cooked meals. Very satisfying and filling. Just a heads up though ... they only accept cash and they close at 2, ... but there is an ATM machine right on the premises. ? I recommend going here if you're in the area and don't know where to eat. ???

A great traditional Canadian breakfast. All the usual breakfast favourites served with friendliness. Been many times for breakfast. Always great.

Found this little gem in Port Colborne while we were looking to take my sister-in-law out for lunch on Labour Day. What a delight. Our server, Hailey, was just great. When asked, what were some of the more popular dishes, she said that pretty much everything on the menu was delicious! My sister-in-law and I ordered the eggs Benny and my husband ordered the turkey club. My dish came with the most delicious home fries with just the right amount of fried onions. Simply delightful! The Hollandaise sauce sure didn’t come out of a package. It was delicious. And….the eggs were perfection! Just oozed out when cut…..mmmmmmm. My husband’s turkey club was all dark meat, which he asked for, and it was straight off the turkey. No processed meat at this restaurant!!! His sandwich was moist and delicious! His fries were fresh cut, and boy, were they tasty. I didn’t mention the prices. Could not believe our eyes when we looked at the prices of meals. So incredibly reasonable! Like diner prices. They only take cash, but there is an ATM in the restaurant, so don’t worry if you don’t carry any cash. If you want a great meal, fantastic pricing and entertaining staff, Melina’s is the place to go. You will not be disappointed. As good as mom’s……trust me. And…ask for Hailey. She’s just a great gal!

Vegetarian options: By the looks on the menu, there are plenty of vegetarian dishes, so don’t be worried if you have some dietary restrictions.

Really love this restaurant. We had breakfast which was delicious. Nice touch with onions on the home fries (server will ask you if you want onions). Perfect eggs, really good bacon, ham and sausages. Good coffee and tea. Tasty OJ and toast. Staff is wonderful. This will be our go-to place ?. NOTE: CASH ONLY - there is an ATM inside.

Great little greasy spoon. Cash only just FYI. Not very expensive. Two big breakfasts which are huge for less the $40.

Love the food, love the servers but come on, you can’t fix the front of the restaurant! Clean up the broken tiles, fix what is broken! How about updating at least the table covers and the chairs!! Even with my complaints, I still keep coming back!
