April 23/22 - Had prearranged seating for 20 people for an event, the owner was very accommodating and arranged a limited menu for our time-sensitive schedule. Staff was friendly and efficient. Food was really good and beer was nice and cold, everything was reasonably priced. Will certainly come back again and recommend to others.

incredible experience at Castle John's! The food was top-notch, and the jambalaya was absolutely amazing—full of flavor and perfectly spiced. I’ll definitely be back for more. Service was fast and amazing.

Castle John's Port Hope is a sports bar with friendly staff and affordable prices. It offers a variety of beers and standard pub grub, including their popular lattice fries. The restaurant has wheelchair accessibility, although an automatic door opener would improve access. However, there were issues with the freshness and temperature of some dishes, such as stale nachos, dry prime rib burger, and cold mild wings. The seating could also be improved, as one bench seat had a sagging cushion.
