The service inside was great and they accommodated my request for our order. Our sandwiches were made with all fresh ingredients and they were so delicious. The coleslaw and pickle was a great side. They had a charity cupcake (that tasted great) with some proceeds going to an organization that supports indigenous people. Very lovely experience, highly recommended!

This lovely establishment is the perfect place to have one of their delightful coffees and a decadent treat that is most certainly worth the calories.I have had lattes and flat whites here both properly made. Cupcakes are fab, my favorites so far are the red velvet and skor. Yum, yum and yum.Staff is always courteous and knowledgeable.Note for non coffee drinkers, the tea selection is vast with many varities to choose from.Parking is plentiful as well.

Dropped by to have a quick cup of coffee on my birthday but stayed for lunch. This is a quintessential cosy cafe full of charm in a relaxed setting. The coffee, lunch and chocolate cupcake to follow were amazing. The food was fresh with a bespoke and selected menu to choose from. The warm welcome received by George and Carmela was wonderful and truly complemented the ambience.

My absolute favourite cafe in Port-Hope! (Sad they moved to bowmanville) The Owners are lovely and the baked goods are amazing!!! Bowmanville is a lucky town to have gotten this great family run establishment. ❤️

I grab lunch from here on the regular. Their sandwiches are amazing. Fresh, home made and the perfect size. Of course I tell myself I am going just for lunch but usually leave with a couple baked goods. You can tell from the first bite that everything is homemade and with real ingredients. The owners are beyond kind and it’s always a great conversation. I’ve had the sandwiches, baked goods, soup and gelato. Each time I do a little happy dance when biting into anything I bring back to the office. It makes my soul happy, you can tell when someone puts themselves into their food and everytime I am never disappointed. Thank you for the fantastic food, baked goods to satisfy my sweet tooth and always making me feel welcome. It’s so special to have them so close to my office.

My sister and I visiting Bowmanville Ontario for the first time came upon this bakery. We came in with our cousin. Perhaps the custom made cakes are wonderful but the tea, we asked for tea for three and we at first received a lukewarm teapot of tea. We asked for another pot with boiled water and it was much better. It was delivered with the comment “don’t burn yourselves.” Note that there is a sign at each table asking guests to only stay 30 minutes.
I'm sure the cakes are delicious but we never got that far.What stopped us from making any sort of order is the rude customer service. I didn't know running a bakery allowed a person to act like they were king of the world but apparently here it means that.Sharing an opinion that these small homemade cakes were a little too pricey to serve at an event with about 100 people was met with rude smirks and, while our backs were turned to leave, a snarky remark that a "Costco slab cake" would be more appropriate.It's a shame that you can't go into a business and decide that it's not for you without staff members/owners getting offended but why am I not surprised with the state of the world nowadays anyway.The history of this location shows that bakeries do not last long. Best of luck breaking that trend if you continue this streak of poor customer service.

Finally tried this place for the first time and I was not disappointed! Got the turkey panini with a side of chips and it was so good. Even got a no-thank-you coleslaw thrown in, which was admittedly just as good. The friendly service is the icing on top of the cake, which reminds me that I'll be back for some of those delicious-looking baked goods.

Ok so have to say never been here, but I was told about it. Yet looking at the hours of operation, I'm honestly perplexed. A cafe that's open 6 hours a day closed by 4pm closed on sundays?? How am I supposed to try it out? Is this a locals only place and for people who don't work? 4pm in the afternoon closing?
