I was really looking forward to visiting Toe Beans Cat Café, but unfortunately, my experience with their customer service was extremely disappointing. I had purchased three tickets for my family, but the night before our visit, my young son became violently ill with a stomach flu—fever, vomiting, the works. Given the situation, I reached out to ask if we could reschedule our visit for another day, but I was bluntly told no, sorry with no flexibility or understanding.
I explained that my son is a child and didn’t choose to get sick, and that unexpected things happen, yet I was still met with a firm no. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told that I was already speaking to one, and even then, there was absolutely no empathy or willingness to work with us.
I completely understand that businesses have policies, but good customer service involves a little compassion and common sense. Refusing to reschedule for a sick child, is just bad business. I would have happily returned on another day and continued supporting the café, but after this experience, I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone looking for a place that values its customers. Unprofessional and seriously lacking in basic kindness.

Fantastic place. I went to adopt, and reached out online before I went to make sure everything was in order, both the woman on line and the one in the cafe were helpful, kind, and went through everything with me. The process was so smooth and thorough. I highly recommend visiting and adopting

Not happy with our visit. Prior to visit we had received buy one get one free admission tickets. We booked our reservation online and paid full price for admission as there was no spot to add our coupon. When we arrived we were told that we should have used our coupon when we booked, even though there was no spot. The owner will not reimburse us for coupons as we should have emailed her prior. I’m not sure how we were to know this🤷🏻♀️. Our food was incorrect and our hot drinks were cold. I thought there would be cats out running around and was disappointed that they were all in cages. Great idea, just needs to be better executed. Oh and remember they don’t honour the coupons they give out.

Such a lovely place to hang out with some sweet kitties! The staff are beyond kind and welcoming, the atmosphere is adorable and filled with lots of cute cat themed decor, the food and coffee is delicious, and I think it goes without saying that the kitties are an absolute joy to hang out with! There’s even lots of great cat themed goodies at the front for purchase, I got some cute pins and a catnip toy for my kitties at home. I cannot express more how amazing of a place this is to either just grab some lunch and hang with some cats, or go to adopt a new forever family member! Definitely an amazing experience! 🐾🩷

Toe Beans is a favourite place to visit with my kids. They are constantly asking to visit! They love the cat face cookies (and always ask to bring a cat butt cookie home for their dad. They think they are hilarious! 😂) The cats are very well cared for and the space is so clean. They are quick to respond to booking requests. Both kids have told me that when they grow up they want to adopt cats from Toe Beans.

They partner with Oshawa animal services and have a creative business plan that provide as cute spot for the community while also giving back to the cats in their care. Absolutely wonderful what they do: glad to support them. And the drinks & staff are absolutely wonderful!
