Quality of the rice noodle rolls have gone down over time- used to be good quality and affordable. Rice noodles aren’t as chewy anymore, rather mushy/watery, and a lot less toppings. For a similar price the rice noodle at the Altons plaza is much better (toppings + quality). Three stars for the pork ribs with guilin noodles because they’re quite good but they often don’t have it and tell you to get others instead.

When I was working at Guangdong TV station more than 30 years ago, I often went to the nearby "Dake" food stall to eat. Stir-fried beef rice noodles, hand-pulled rice rolls, chicken rice porridge, braised pig intestines, cold melon beef, etc. were all must-haves for us. Called Xiaodian. Unexpectedly, a "Dake" porridge, noodle and porridge shop opened in Toronto many years ago. The store's hand-pulled rice rolls have thin, tender skin, and the porridge is made with authentic ingredients, full of flavor, and is reasonably priced. Worth recommending.
really not bad

Cheap and filling meals, but lack of flavors. The rice rolls have chewy texture and came in large portions, but just quite plain, even with the soya sauce, you will need to spice it up with chili oil and additional soya sauce.
They gave plenty of vermicelli and small amount of protein (matching the price), but they are very plain. The noodles bowl will definitely fill you up, but not satisfying. The owner explained that their Guilin vermicelli is different from the one we had before, so that was appreciated. Peeking at the kitchen, the hygiene is not their priority, but we didn't experience upset stomachs afterwards.
The food court is always busy with lots of the elders, especially on the weekends.
Parking: Plaza is very busy on the weekends, so you may have difficulties in finding parking spots.

The ritual of Cantonese breakfast! The rice rolls paired with garlic chili sauce are really the best! The price is very affordable!

Incredible value for fast food in today’s economy. Menu items average $6-9 for a meal that will have you full and satisfied. Guilin noodles and congee were good. Typical Canton food court experience in Scarborough.
The food is good, specially the famous rice noodle roll. Price is reasonable as well. However, if you plan to eat in, the food court can be very cold and windy when people open the door. So you may want to order take out during winter months.
Parking: outdoor parking with plenty of disable parking spots.

Can’t expect service and atmosphere for an old foodcourt so 4 is for the food alone for such economic priceRice roll 5/5 Beef is tenderCongee 5/5 One might disagree but I like the combination of greens and shredded ginger. Generous ingredients.Guilin noodle w spicy minced meat (small) 2/5 Portion is big but there’s not much minced meat and the soup is just not my type, flavour is not as rich as the authentic ones

Ordered a beef brisket noodle in soup.It was okay, but a bit overpriced for a food court.I dislike the most is that they don’t use the right noodle. I wouldn’t ordered it if I knew.?
