Cool little cozy spot for food. Came to grab takeout, the place is small that's what makes it cozy. If ordering takeout, there is a "waiting area" to the left of the ordering counter. After watching "Chef" the movie (highly recomme d) I looked for Cuban sandwiches ? but the only places were in downtown but lo and behold there is a God and I found this hidden gem ? called El Habanero & Churrobar in the heart of Scarborough. Still gotta try the rest of the menu but if you had to go I would order the El Cubano (Cuban Sandwich) ? and Yuca Supreme Fries ?. I don't know what a traditional Cuban sandwich is supposed to taste like but this sandwich is tasty - good bun, meat, cheese, mustard ratio. It comes with a side fries which are battered, crispy and well seasoned (my guess is the fries are seasoned with salt, garlic & parsley??). Cortadito was a nice finish to the meal and balanced out well with the sweetness of the dulce de leche filled churro.
