Very busy lunch place that day. Looks like lots of regulars occupy the bar. The server was a very nice woman who was very busy but managed to bring and refill drinks with ease and take our orders and serve them very timely. The nachos were plentiful but i have had better. The wings were meaty and served with carrot sticks which were fresh. the Greek salad was average but the French onion soup was tasty. The Black Dog has been our go-to for so many years. It used to always be Sunday lunch with our family over the appetizer platter.. the family has changed a bit over the years and so has the menu, but everything we've ever tried is delicious and the atmosphere is still warm and welcoming any time you go. Went here after hiking in Glen Rouge park. Our waitress was excellent. I was really impressed with the side salad, though I didn’t order it. Had the plant burger and fries. It was good. Only complaint was the terrible Moscow mule. No ginger beer, barely any vodka and was a very short pour.
