“We celebrated our August wedding anniversary at Coriander, and were delighted! We sat in the Greenhouse, the view was great, loved the decor. Our server was friendly and helpful, everyone was so kind. Loved the drinks Thad made, our meals, Rainbow Trout and Shrimp Boil were excellent. My guy enjoyed the peach cobbler for dessert, the cookies were delicious as well. As native Detroiters, we are thrilled with this venue, and will be back!“

“Originally from Michigan but now live in Florida. Went to Detroit for the weekend to attend Red Wings games. Looked for perch dinners and found Andrew’s. Absolutely awesome perch with a generous portion. Loved the atmosphere of the old time era. Staff exceptionally friendly as was the owner. Would definitely recommend this place and can’t wait to return. What I liked was the minimal breading so you have the true taste of perch. This is by far the place to go if you love perch.“

The Greek salad was the best I have every eaten with homemade dressing not bottled stuff, my steak was cooked to perfection and seasoned well. I am a teacher and was looking for a local pizza place...and one of my students recommended this pizza place. What an amazing choice! We found a great deal online for a large pizza. Since I was ordering as a reward for a few students I asked them to double cut the slices and they easily accommodated my special request. The cheese was so good, the sauce was tasty and the kids gobbled up the pepperoni ?

“This review is way over due. What can i say but WOW!!! Lyla makes quality food! QUALITY! The Tabbouleh has a perfect flavor. I love lemon and the flavor is just right. And, Lyla and staff take the time to take off each parsley leaf off of the stem!!!!!! Who does that? I think of myself as a soup connoisseur of soup! Grew up in a Polish family with all kinds of homemade soup. Let me tell you that the chicken ginger soup made on Wednesday is over the top scrumptiously delicious. Really! The other soups too are very good but the chicken ginger soup is my favorite. The hummus is some of the best I’ve tasted as well as the garlic spread/dip WOWZA. If you like garlic this is for you and goes well alone on pita or grape leaves. Recently I got grilled eggplant topped with lamb. Yep, sure was yummy. “First time ordering, I got 2 gyros, a side salad and a humm, enough for about 3 meals. If you're getting a gyro, you may as well get a second one with it. It's a dollar off, and gives you left overs for later.Gyro meat has got some bite, and the tomato is acidic, but the sauce does a wonderful job of taming and pulling the sandwich together. The humm is oily and garlicy and delicious, pairing wonderfully with the soft dryness of the pita and the savory spice of the gyro, earning the involuntary "mmmm". A time-tested formula sure to delight. Overall, a quality sandwich, and the kind of meal I expect when I order from a place called "La Pita on Sandwich".On the downside, my salad came with onions and cucumbers, which I specifically asked to be excluded. But I had no problem pawning those bits off to one of my hungry house mates. There were no onions on my pita, so I'm thinking they were made by different people to get my order out in good time. The ingredients weren't mixed in, so it wasn't too hard to pick them out to my satisfaction. And most people want those things in their salad anyway.Also, personal opinion, their drink game is lacking. But, like... whose isn't these days?The presentation of the packaged meal was adequate. It smelled like food, and I was able to tell what was what before opening anything.
