We were there for dinner recently. Over all it was lovely, we enjoyed the experience and the food it was perfectly seasoned and well presented. There were a couple of small things that were disappointing….a two bite check for one, and a refill of coffee might have been appreciated but not the end of the world. My friend and I both ordered the crispy rice bowl. It was absolutely delicious! It came with two skewers of salmon chunks that were cooked perfectly. Our server Tristan, was warm, attentive and engaging! The ladies at the Thornbury cheese gallery recommended the Bruce Wine bar and we are so glad they did! We will definitely be back.

If you like live music, Bruce wine bar is a nice spot. Seating is intimate, but comfortable.Appetizers were creative and well-executed. Stand out apps included endive & ricotta and the chili shrimp. There was nothing wrong with the steak tartare but it was nothing memorable. We ordered "the beast" which is braised short rib - extremely tender, mushrooms were cooked perfectly and the squash and apple pizza.
