“I love the Ashanti Coffee House. My favourites are the Sandwiches, nicely toasted. Cheesy yummy goodness. The coffee is great and I like picking up a few of the roasted coffee sacks for growing potatoes in my garden. Just get one of the sacks, fill it with 4 inches of soil in the spring. Place 5 potatoes in a star pattern (like the five star rating) and when the sprouts break through and get leafy, just add some more soil and keep doing that for 90 days... and voila a bag of potatoes... coffee sack becomes potato sack.. hows that for a coffee shop!”

“I absolutely love that little Cottage and Kelly (I think) that was working there is a very *kind person. The coffee was Delicious & the samosa was Superb ! There was a loaf of Cake there & I should have bought it ; but I was "thumbing & didn't want extra weight in case I started Walking.. I decided that I really needed to go out there & {enjoy} another coffee snack & get some baked goods to take home. When I looked online, like ?Sunday, the schedule displayed that it was Open every day ; so I contacted a friend to meet me there tomorrow (Thursday), after I drop by my storage unit. I just got a text fr. the friend saying that he believed it was Closed for the Season. I tel. & there was no Ans. I'm very disappointed, as it has become a *fav. place in town ! “I’ve been going to Thornbury every year around Canada Day for 40 years. New Orleans Pizza has been a staple restaurant in Thornbury for more than 30 years.
Original owner sold the company around 10 yrs ago. Ownership has changed numerous times since.
Pizza is not the same as before but is not bad.
Taste is ok. Pizza resembles a Dominoes or a swan pizza.
Chicken wings are good.
Prices are a little expensive but not crazy.”

“First day of our vacation and decided to give this gem a try! The Alfredo (added chicken) was amazing and perfectly cooked, the margarita pizza was good my daughter said, just a little bland not much seasoning, my sons friend had the cod and my son had pasta and both their dishes were good as well just needed for spices. I read reviews before going so I was nervous about what might be the outcome come but would for sure visit again but kids say they would pick a different meal.”

“We went to Meaford to see an ABBA tribute and were searching for a place to eat before the show. We stumbled upon this restaurant, and what an amazing experience it turned out to be. The hostess, Frannie, has some of the driest and funniest humour encountered anywhere, and she set the tone for the evening right from the start. The atmosphere was charming and quaint, creating a cozy backdrop for the meal. The food was delicious, with rich flavours that danced on the palate and delivered an authentic Italian taste.”

My husband and I went out for a drive on this scorcher of a day and found this wonderful gem…The Blackbird Pie Company. We purchased a strawberry rhubarb crumble pie. Well it’s the best pie I’ve ever had. We will definitely be heading back there and if you are in the area, please stop by. You won’t be disappointed. Amazing….thank you!”

“Excellent, fresh sushi from a friendly, local, family business. Wonderful option for enjoying healthy food by the lake. We call in 30 minutes ahead and enjoy rolls, sushi and sashimi by the lake.
This restaurant is for takeout, so plan on enjoying this excellent food at home, by the lake, at Memorial Park or maybe from the lookout.”

“We went for dinner on Saturday night as we frequently do when we're in Meaford visiting family. Dinner was great, the staff are always very friendly and accommodating especially with thr kids! Food is always delicious with minimal wait times. One of our daughters had fries either her meal that were a little too salty for her taste and the waitress had new fresh unsalted fries out to her within minutes. If you're looking for a family friendly restaurant with great food you won't be disappointed!”

Friendly, sweet, helpful and entertaining. As part of our 40th anniversary craft beer road trip, Northwinds and especially the staff were the highlights! I think they need a raise. Had the pleasure of stopping in the Blue Mountain location. Food was great and the beer is fantastic (many choices available). A main highlight were the servers, Kyra, Anna, Jess and Bea.
