“We went to Meaford to see an ABBA tribute and were searching for a place to eat before the show. We stumbled upon this restaurant, and what an amazing experience it turned out to be. The hostess, Frannie, has some of the driest and funniest humour encountered anywhere, and she set the tone for the evening right from the start. The atmosphere was charming and quaint, creating a cozy backdrop for the meal. The food was delicious, with rich flavours that danced on the palate and delivered an authentic Italian taste.”

“Excellent, fresh sushi from a friendly, local, family business. Wonderful option for enjoying healthy food by the lake. We call in 30 minutes ahead and enjoy rolls, sushi and sashimi by the lake.
This restaurant is for takeout, so plan on enjoying this excellent food at home, by the lake, at Memorial Park or maybe from the lookout.”

My husband and I went out for a drive on this scorcher of a day and found this wonderful gem…The Blackbird Pie Company. We purchased a strawberry rhubarb crumble pie. Well it’s the best pie I’ve ever had. We will definitely be heading back there and if you are in the area, please stop by. You won’t be disappointed. Amazing….thank you!”

“We went for dinner on Saturday night as we frequently do when we're in Meaford visiting family. Dinner was great, the staff are always very friendly and accommodating especially with thr kids! Food is always delicious with minimal wait times. One of our daughters had fries either her meal that were a little too salty for her taste and the waitress had new fresh unsalted fries out to her within minutes. If you're looking for a family friendly restaurant with great food you won't be disappointed!”

“I love the Ashanti Coffee House. My favourites are the Sandwiches, nicely toasted. Cheesy yummy goodness. The coffee is great and I like picking up a few of the roasted coffee sacks for growing potatoes in my garden. Just get one of the sacks, fill it with 4 inches of soil in the spring. Place 5 potatoes in a star pattern (like the five star rating) and when the sprouts break through and get leafy, just add some more soil and keep doing that for 90 days... and voila a bag of potatoes... coffee sack becomes potato sack.. hows that for a coffee shop!”

When I looked online, like ?Sunday, the schedule displayed that it was Open every day ; so I contacted a friend to meet me there tomorrow (Thursday), after I drop by my storage unit. “I’ve been going to Thornbury every year around Canada Day for 40 years. New Orleans Pizza has been a staple restaurant in Thornbury for more than 30 years.
Original owner sold the company around 10 yrs ago. Ownership has changed numerous times since.
Pizza is not the same as before but is not bad.
Taste is ok. Pizza resembles a Dominoes or a swan pizza.
Chicken wings are good.
Prices are a little expensive but not crazy.”

“Our entire experience was terrific. The scenery was breathtaking ; you eat your meal right at the edge of the mountain top! The food was delicious; every single course was thoroughly enjoyed. They brought out so much food that we were very full, and I didn't even take advantage of the “unlimited” part of the meal. I loved the bbq'd chicken and the very refreshing pineapple and cucumber salad the most. We both loved the dessert too! The caramel covered funnel cake fries, the refreshing peach sorbet, and the other ice creams were delicious too. Our server was Francois. He was friendly and efficient. He gave us enough time to enjoy every course without making us wait too long in between each course. We highly recommend this restaurant.”

“The food is awful but there was this kind young man who goes by the name Nathan Leary he was helpful and cute but most importantly a great staff member, compared to the other staff he was outstanding, he gathered my drinks and food in no time and was very talkative. We NEED more people like Nathan Leary working in McDonalds!”
