Seems to be some confusion and poor communication on their end regarding event planning. Third party seems to claim they aren’t booking future events, while the restaurant claims they are. Spent a month making touch points via phone, email, and in person. Had my name and info taken several times, and promised information that never came. Now in a panic to try to find something else. We were really looking forward to using the space but have to move on and find something else. Beautiful location, and great food, sad to let it go. Will continue to dine here and support local.

Great apps... the variety and taste. That's why we go there. Patio overlooks the harbor... nicely enclosed, but open to the air.

Great location but that’s about it. Service was mediocre; very slow. Food was lacklustre at best. Menu is very strange; an attempt to offer “upscale” food but it heavily misses the mark. We ordered a whipped feta dip and the presentation looked nothing like the photos and it wasn’t that good, wish we didn’t order that but the tapas offered are very strange and unappealing. Mains were also not well received. Lobster crab roll wasn’t that great and the burger was pretty bland and didn’t taste that great. Very little fries added for the side dish. Overpriced for what you receive and the quality. Will not return.

The staff are so wonderfully sweet, smart, and amazing at their job! The food is amazing every single time and so beautifully presented. I had a charred corn and jalapeno bisque that was to die for!

Never again. So overpriced for the WEIRDEST dishes that leave you still hungry. Service was sub par, she didn't know the menu well. Also saw their restaurant tagged in a photo on Instagram where the cooks were not wearing gloves. So gross.

Avoid this place at all costs. Food is adequate at best. They are trying so hard to be something that they can’t achieve. Poor management and incompetence at all levels.

I am unable to review the food, service or atmosphere as we never made it to the restaurant. Despite having an online reservation and a confirmation from Touch Bistro, upon my confirming the reservation a few days before, I was told the restaurant would not be open on the Saturday of the August long weekend as they had a private catering function. I made the reservation 2 weeks prior, nobody called me and I was left in an extremely embarrassing situation with our friends and too late to book anything else at such short notice. Manager couldn’t care less and said “we are primarily a catering business” I also spoke to the owner and he was very apologetic and said he would get back to me with an explanation and after 2 weeks I haven’t heard anything. Very disappointed and very unprofessional. We live a stone’s throw from Sterlings year round and have numerous visitors but will never use them again!

Really looked forward to this based on the reviews and the restaurant setting (with a beautiful view of the Thornbury marina). We hoped to get a table on the patio, but the weather looked like rain when we arrived, so we sat inside at a booth. Uh-oh, when the waitress arrived to take our drink order, she said that not one but four of the beers-on-tap were not available. She also said that Chicken Wings were no longer available. My son was disappointed because that was his first choice. When my wife asked for the wi-fi code, the waitress said that was not available for guests. I began to regret this outing, but thought the food's going to be great! My wife and I had 3 small plates to share: Lamp pops, Pork belly and Cauliflower roast. These were OK, but the Lamb pops were disappointing for the price. My son had the Fig and Prosciutto burger. He had requested a gluten-free bun, but was told that was not available (surprise, surprise). So he asked for a regular bun but was not overly impressed when the plate arrived. I also thought it just looked like a small patty on a bun with not much else going on, with fries on the side. My son's girlfriend had the Fish and Chips, this looked to be the best plate on the table and she said it was good - so that was positive. At the end of the meal, as we left our table, my wife pointed out that (two tables over) someone had just received a plate of chicken wings. I looked over and it definitely looked like chicken wings with dipping sauce. Oh dear, maybe they weren't available when we ordered an hour earlier. Sorry Sterlings, we will not be back and we will be saying to friends and family 'you should avoid Sterlings when you go to the Blue Mountains'.

Wow! What a view! That is just one thing that makes this place so special. The fun and kind servers that make you feel like you are part of their family are amazing. When I left I felt like a made some new friends. Our drinks were promptly brought to our table and our food quickly followed. The food!!!! OMG, sooo good and the presentation was beautifully implemented. We shared a bunch of starters and everyone was happy with it all. I would def recommend the next time you are looking for a great spot with a funky yet classy atmosphere and a killer view.

I really liked the restaurant. Servers were super friendly and the food was good as well. I got the lobster & crab roll and it was delicious.

Great spot for casual fine dining. The seafood special was amazing (seafood risotto). We went for the live music on Saturday night and the atmosphere was lots of fun. Excellent service.

Great atmosphere, excellent service, had the seafood roll which was delicious, definitely recommend! We also had an assortment of small plates (grilled asparagus, whipped feta dip, and watermelon fritas) which were fantastic.
