Good pasta place.

Tried this little pasta takeout spot the other day — flavor-wise, it was kinda unique, I’ll give them that. The pasta itself though… a bit on the al dente-but-maybe-too-dente side. And I wish they were a little more generous with the sauce — it felt like it stopped halfway through the bowl.

I got it as takeout, and for a quick meal, it’s honestly not bad. Not mind-blowing, but decent enough. The price? Around $17 for a pasta — not exactly cheap, but not outrageous either. Let’s call it average for a takeout joint in the city.

The shop is tiny — there are a few seats inside, but it’s definitely more of a grab-and-go type of place than somewhere you’d hang out with friends over a long dinner. Think “efficient bite, then bounce.”

All in all, I’d give it a solid 3.5 out of 5. Might come back to try a different sauce and see if it changes the game. Worth giving it one more shot!

There’s no gelato here. I’m really sad, but i don’t want to take it out on this new pasta place. I love pasta.

First time trying this place. It use to be a gelato place.

Order and paid from the machine. They sell mac and cheese, drinks and cookies.

We ordered the following:

1. Sake Rose (came with a garlic bread)

2. Garlic Yuzu Shrimp Fettuccine (came with a garlic bread)

The garlic bread was very good. Not a lot of flavour in the pasta, but we do appreciate the extra cheese on the side. Generous portion size, so you do get what you paid for.

The atmosphere is pretty quiet. Worker leaves you alone so don't worry about needing to talk to people. You self order at the front using an iPad. Super simple. The food is great. Always very yummy. I like the pesto mac and cheese.

I love their ice cream here. I bought butter gochuchang yesterday and I was literally sitting in the toilet all day after eating it. I felt so sick. This is the first bad experience I had. I still feel sick after eating it. Maybe the sauce wasn’t fresh because I had this in the past and I didn’t feel sick

Food was great if a little overpriced. Very flavourful and made well. Butter gochujang had great heat, but bacon bits were not what I expected. Cremini mushrooms were the definite highlight, really tempered the spice well. I get acid reflux easily due to pregnancy and I handled this well, without much discomfort. Spouse ordered yuzu shrimp and even though there were only 3 shrimp, the parm was very flavourful and offset by the yuzu in the sauce really well. Would come back to try other flavours! The radio constantly playing wasn’t my favourite, but it was a good quick dine in experience for fusion pasta.

The butter gochuchang is delicious and definitely the must-try pasta item on the menu! The sake rose was a close second, while the bolognese was okay (it tasted just fine, but isn't as unique as the others).

We've had kekou gelato over the years, so when we heard about the creation of Moon Pasta (which also serves the gelato), we were interested to try.

The space is small, so it is mainly meant for takeout, and it takes about 15 minutes, which isn't bad at all, but best to call ahead if you're in a hurry.

Awesome little spot for pasta! They've only got 5 dishes on the menu, which means they're all super good. The prices are really reasonable, and the portions are great. Perfect for a quick, tasty lunch!

Kekou Gelato turned into a pretty tasty pasta place. Nice for a quick bite. Pasta was nice. Ice cream pints are still available.

I stopped by here for dinner takeout after visiting KoiClaw for a Yelp Elite event.

Very convenient for me as I had bookmarked this place ever since I heard that Kekou Gelato had converted their spaces and added fusion pasta to their menus!

Walking in to this location, I immediately noticed that they don't keep the gelatos in the front anymore and instead it's a bar counter with the POS system on the side.

The other thing I noticed is that all pastas were under $20, which is amazing (especially in this economic climate). A lot of restos lazily slap a $20-25 price tag on pasta dishes when the portion size and quality are severely lacking so seeing pasta for $15 was very welcome and refreshing.

How was the flavour? It was great! I ordered the butter gochujang pasta because I was craving some heat (and some meat) and it delivered on both fronts. The sauce clung to the noodles well and it wasn't overly spicy. Very well balanced. I had some skepticism because Kekou was known for having great gelatos so I didn't know if selling pasta was gonna be a flop but I will definitely return off the back of the order I just tasted to try a different pasta.

*Keep in mind the space is still takeout only basically as there's VERY limited seating.*
