“Nothing is perfect, but Umami express is probably as close as it gets. The space is fun, clean, and inviting. The food is fresh, creative, and delicious. The owner is very kind and welcoming. I don't write these sort of reviews, but I just can't think of enough positive things to say about this place. It really just is the best. We live over an hour away and we've made multiple trips specifically for this spot. 10/10 on all counts.“

“I’ve been a fan of Helen’s Deli since the late ’90s, back when I first started working downtown and my co-workers introduced me to it. More than two decades later, I still find myself drawn back for the same reasons — no one in St. Catharines does a European-style deli quite like Helen’s.
Their salad bar is perfect for a quick grab-and-go lunch, with a wide range of fresh, flavourful options that keep things interesting. The hot deli, though, is where Helen’s really shines. Many of the dishes remind me of the hearty, comforting meals my German housekeeper used to make — rich stews, tender meats, and sides that taste like they’ve come straight from a home kitchen somewhere in Europe.
Helen’s isn’t the cheapest spot in town, but it’s worth every penny for the quality and the experience. For downtown office workers — or anyone who craves a touch of authentic European deli — this place is a true treasure. St. Catharines just wouldn’t be the same without it.“

I wanted to organize my mother’s 90th birthday and was nervous about ensuring every part of the food offering would be perfect and it was! Hannah Grace was always available for either a phone or video call. She offered great advice and suggestions which were so appropriate. Hannah Grace, we still here about the food and the presentation (and it was two months ago!). Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You made my mom’s 90th a beautiful and memorable event! PS. “Micaela and team catered my partner's 65th surprise birthday party in our home. What an amazing service they provide! “We have had Perfect Pairing cater for us now twice and they have been amazing both times! Janet was very easy to talk to before hand about accommodating with any food allergies and scheduling the day and time. The food they provided was exquisite! The service during the dinner was very personable and professional. I would highly recommend Perfect Pairings for any food event! Perfect Pairings provide an absolutely wonderful experience!“
