“I just wanted to take the tome to acknowledge the amazing efforts of Colin (who I've now known to be the GM of this location) . I had called with a question, simply asking what the daily vegetable was before I placed my order through Skip the Dish. I wanted to make sure the sode was not say roasted red pepper and beans or something. During our briefing talk, I explained I had a food allergy to peppers. He said he would make sure there were no peppers. Much to my delight, the food was absolutely amazing, and I had no issues with anything. What particularly caught me off guard, was that Colin had essentially taken time aside to ensure the safety of my meal, and inquired about all ingredients to the kitchen. He found that there were pepper flakes in the coleslaw side, so he actually attached a had written note with the coleslaw aside, amd substitutions available that accommodated my allergy. I have yet to ever see a restaurant worker take such initiative, let alone learning that this was the GM whom I'm sure had many other things to do that evening. I was absolutely blown away. So Colin, if you ever see this, you made my night, and you've solidified a loyal family of clients to Kelseys, solely because of you. Thank you”

“My husband and I had an absolutely spectacular anniversary dinner! We were seated in a less busy area of the dining room as requested and promptly were brought two glasses of sparkling wine-complementary! That was so thoughtful! We had never been to this restaurant as we live in the states and only visit TBay at times. We ordered two pizzas for apps-really knowing it would reheat well later-which it did not disappoint. Our mains were spot on and delicious and dessert was also grand. Such a pleasure to have the experience! Our server, Ewan, was a true gem!”

“We visited Joey’s for the first time during our trip to Thunder Bay with my young son, and it was easily the highlight of our visit.

The gentleman who served us was exceptionally polite, friendly, and welcoming. He made us feel at home from the moment we arrived, and his customer service was excellent.

The food was absolutely fantastic. The fish was fresh and perfectly cooked, the chips were delicious, and everything was served promptly. It was one of the best fish and chip meals I’ve had.

I only realised afterwards that they serve mushy peas as well, which I completely missed on the menu. I’ll definitely be ordering those the next time I visit!

Without a doubt, the best part of our trip to Thunder Bay was our meal at Joey’s. I would highly recommend it and will certainly be returning whenever I’m back in the area.”

“This restaurant has come back as good as always. The ambiance is fabulous. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. The food was delicious. We tried the deep fried ravioli, mozzarella sticks, chicken, Parmesan, Italian, stuffed peppers, shrimp, stuffed shells, and gnocchi. Everything was very flavourful. We really liked that you get bread, and a salad included with your meal which these days, is not common. We will definitely be back and highly recommend a visit for those who haven’t been recently.”

“I highly recommend The Industry Social House. We had a large group dinner at the Industry Social House on Friday Jan. 9th, 2026. It was important for me to hold the gathering in a nice and open area, not a jammed & dark space. I visited the restaurant a few days earlier, and found its open space to be very welcoming - the space has nice decoration with lots of light, a large decorating olive tree in the center and several more decorating flowers and greens. I met Chef Carlos and Manager Maria, with whom we discussed on developing a special menu for the event considering some food restrictions, different age group, and the cause. After trying some dishes, we finalized our menu with Nachos and Potato Skins for starter, for the main course: Ribeye steak being one of the best steaks I have tried, Chicken Duxelles with a very unique fabulous fused taste, and Fish & Chips with crispy battered shell. There were also two types of assorted Dainties for dessert. Different types of drink were ordered. The manager had printed the special menu for our table with a special note for our event which everyone liked! I should say that unlike many mixed and unfair reviews, our group (ranging from young university students to senior professors) was impressed and enjoyed with every detail of this great experience made by the Industry Social House. Last but least, the service was great and the waitresses were friendly and professional. The Table was ready as planned and everything was done in full perfection.”

“Always fresh and delicious with a variety of sandwiches, pizzas, pastas and salads and seasonal starters to choose from - with daily/weekly specials too. Have your own dish or order a few dishes to share. Patio is a great option during warmer months with lots of sun umbrellas when needed and is good for a quieter space if needed since the restaurant can get loud when busy. Oh, and the white sangria is excellent.”

“We had our work Christmas party here last night, and Chris and our bartenders were super accommodating! We brought in catering for our group, which was fantastic. The space was done up perfectly to accommodate our large party. lol The ambiance was on par. Everyone had a great time with the sims. Definitely a party for the books! “We had a great experience at this Tim Hortons drive thru, thanks to Shovit! (Could be little wrong for the name) He was incredibly friendly, energetic, and welcoming. What really stood out was that he remembered us from our last visit, which made us feel genuinely valued as customers. He also made sure we got fresh steeped tea, and you could really taste the difference. Excellent customer service like this is hard to find, and Shovit made our visit a great one. “This was probably the best fast food experience ive ever had we ordered a bunch of burgers, drinks and a large fries and they were super busy but when we were at the 2nd window the attendant gave us our burgers and drinks and told us it would be a bit for our fries which usually they would just hold our food in the building while we waited but for the first time i was able to enjoy a piping how burger while i waited for my hot fresh fries i was so happy that was the best”

“We visited Tomlin Subdivision and decided to try the famous Perogy Pizza. It was definitely something different and a fun experience. The pizza was tasty, and the dough was especially good—fresh, light, and perfectly baked.

We had to wait a little for our order, but it was worth it because everything was made fresh.

Unfortunately, there weren’t any free tables outside when we arrived, but after a short wait, one became available, and we were able to enjoy our meal on the patio.

The Perogy Pizza was delicious, although for us it’s probably more of a “try it once” kind of pizza because of its unique flavor. Next time we’d love to come back and try some of the other pizzas on the menu.

Overall, it was a great experience, and we’d happily visit again.”

Parking: There are so many barriers when it comes to parking at the location where Windy Shores Cafe is located because 1) I need a phone to pay for parking 2) I need to pay to access a public park by vehicle 3) I need to pay for a phone plan to have data to pay for my parking metre. It’s not the business’s fault, however it is clear they’re losing a significant amount of customers and revenue because of parking.”

“First time being in Freshco Deli on Frederica street. I was amazed with all the products and the owner was a delight to talk to. He asked if zi had ever tried his sandwiches to which I replied no. “I always use the drive thru and usually only order a tea but I only go in the day because in the evening it doesn’t taste as good. Sometimes I’ll go alone or with my kids they usually get a sandwich or something else. My youngest gets thé chocolate milk and a cookie I love the woman that’s always on the till during the day with the glasses I’m always giving her a tip because she’s always so nice. If I’m with my pug she always asks if she can have a treat and if I’m alone she always is like you’re alone today. Super friendly staff person. Wish I knew her name.”
