What you would have expected from a up scale location in Yorkville. From services to food to atmosphere you get what you paid for!
We had a parties of 5 ordered most of the dishes to try and not a single one we regretted. Not a place for everyday dining but for sure a place for special occasions. Food style is more feels like Korean fusion western mix very different than traditional highly recommend
Parking: Located between 2 paid parking garage lots of parking but very limited paid street parking especially those paid street parking hours also very limited make sure to check the sign or risk of parking ticket.
Beware paid parking garage with special “events” rates think of it as MP “market price”

Amazing amazing restaurant. Every dish was a homerun, from start to basically finish.
Highly recommend the mushroom jook, the potato pancake and short rib ssam. I think those stand out head and shoulders above the rest of the items.
The interior is dimly lit and really cozy. Nice servers.

I went with high expectations, but I ordered two main dishes, but the portions were very small and the time difference between the two menus was very short. The sujebi pasta had a bit of an odd taste. The steak melted gently. I didn't feel like I was receiving friendly service from the staff. It was delicious, but I don't think I'll come back.

Unique and tasty Korean fusion dishes, intimate atmosphere deserving of its Michelin recognition.
1. Mul-hwe: pricey but refreshing, complex, delicious
2. Beef tartare: enjoyed the inari pocket with beef combination, but wasn’t a standout for me
3. Chicken wings: disappointed with this dish, most of the chicken part was burnt and could only eat the rice on the inside
4. Sujebi: amazing! perfect texture with lots of juicy shrimp and succulent lobster bisque
5. Mushroom truffle jook: a must-order. was absolutely fantastic, so comforting with lots of mushrooms and hearty with the barley rice. an amazing example of fusion done well.
6. Cornpop bingsu: a light, not too sweet and refreshing end, better than places specializing in bingsu! highly recommend!

Look for casual Korean restaurants for comfort, but come here for a discovery of thoughtfully assembled flavours, harmonizing Korean with modern techniques. The trio of starters are the perfect sharing portions, or if you aren't satisfied with just one bite cause it's so good. The stuffed peppers were the favourite, encrusted in crispy breadcrumbs and stuffed with juicy ground beef and glass noodle filling, served with three different mayos.
The experience continued to heighten with the Sujebi and Mushroom Jook. The sujebi are like oval-shaped pasta, with a pleasant al dente texture and plenty of surface area for the perilla seed butter to cling onto. It's garnished with a delicious melody of tender duck confit, maitake conserva, sweet corn, and crispy sage, and finished with tangy lemon zest. It's a complete bite that makes you want to lick the plate.
I never used to be a big fan of congee/jook, but I'd be easily converted if you embellish it with such tasty ingredients. With a texture similar to risotto, each bite is bursting with mushroom umami, which is complimented by the subtle earthiness of the barley and a salty tanginess from the grating of parmesan on top. In the centre of it all is a gooey poached egg that adds a rich, creamy undertone to each bite. The microchives aren't just for garnish either, because they provide a subtle crisp along with a bit of freshness.
I was smart enough tonight to order both desserts, as the banana milk tiramisu was simply irresistible, and the hojicha ice cream was even better. The quintessential tiramisu features two moist layers of lady, sandwiched with banana milk-infused mascarpone cream and topped with a heavy dusting of espresso powder.
The ice cream though, is a must try. The silky smooth ice cream is infused with a fragrant roasted rice flavour and a comforting milkiness, contrasting with a lightly sweet and citrusy yuzu syrup. The sesame caramel brings a complex, butterscotch-like aroma to each bite, which amplifies the roasted flavours even more along with the roasted barley. It's garnished with a delicate and thin crisp on top for a little fun with textures. The service was attentive.
We got the Stuffed Peppers, Chicken Wings, Beef Tartare, Mushroom Jook, Sujebi, Roasted Brown Rice Ice Cream, Banana Milk Tiramisu

Food was great - ambience was ok
Came for a friends birthday with a group of 8. We shared the dishes family style, and everything was so tasty and unique! My favourite was the tuna tar tar and lettuce wrap short ribs.

This was such a great experience.
We got the tuna crudo which melted in your mouth- so good!! The mushroom jook was very good. Hearty and comforting. The suljebi pasta was my favorite, the seafood was perfectly cooked and the textures were superb with the pop of the peas. And the carrots were a surprising fav although I wish we’d gotten rice to make sure we could eat all that sauce. The carrots could use a tiiiiny bit more salt in my opinion.
The banana milk tiramisu is a standout. It was DELIGHTFUL!!
We will absolutely be back.

I don't know how Potato Pancake tastes so luxurious yet cozy. I will never forget the texture and savory taste that spreads calmly in my mouth. I ate this while admiring it. Beef Tartare is served with raw meat wrapped in tofu, and the soft and light flavor of the fried tofu and the freshness of the raw meat combine to create a truly rich taste.
The texture of Sujebi (Korean Pasta) was really good and the Albacore Tuna was also good. Korean Ssam Platters come with a variety of signature sauces, and I highly recommend choosing the ribs. Even if you pay a little more, the taste is definitely worth it.
For dessert, we recommend Cornpop Bingsoo.
I think it's probably the best dessert I've ever had in my experience.
I had a really pleasant meal while feeling that Korean food and Italian food can come together so well.

Excellent dishes - never tasted a better steak in Toronto than here. Their sujebi pasta and potato pancakes were mind blowing. The only thing is they’re small so they’re very strict with seating time and only allow for 1.5-2 hours which they will keep reminding you about. Other than that I had a great birthday dinner.

I tried the potato pancake after seeing a review saying it was delicious.
The taste everyone knows, no different from grated potatoes at home + a slightly superior version of McDonald's fries.
The steak was tender and delicious, but the kimchi that came with it was so salty that it tasted like it had been poured with salt.
As for service, the male staff was friendly, but the female staff didn't respond when they said thank you.
The atmosphere and interior design of the restaurant was very disappointing. In particular, a New Jeans song that did not fit at all was played and the front desk phone rang loudly. For a moment, I thought I was eating at a Korean snack bar.
A place to go when you don't have anything to eat, when you don't have anywhere to go, when you put on slippers and loose clothes and go for a comfortable meal.
+ Food prices are not comfortable :)
I was planning to go there on my birthday, but I suddenly had time, so I went there. If I had planned to go there on my birthday, I would have completely ruined it..;
