More love edit: I tried the chocolate croissant yesterday and I almost cried because finally a croissant under $5 dollars that is flaky on the outside, soft on the inside AND WARM 😭😭 and it was clearly homemade based on how it looked!!!! I have tried the most expensive croissants in Toronto and this is the best value. Thank god this place exists otherwise I would be so much more depressed.

Almond crossisnt was stale, came back a few days later and the almond crossisnt again was stale. I suspect they don't actually do a majority of they're baking there in fact.

Fabulous pains au chocolate, although they call them chocolate danishes (they're not danishes.....). Very good cinnamon rugelach (rolls). I haven't tried their breads, but their other baking is fabulous.

Adore their rye loaf with caraway and they make the best sourdough, chewy yet light on the inside and crispy and crunchy on the outside. Service is friendly and the new floors are really cute! Love that this place is in the neighbourhood

The place looks great after the recent renovations and the food is amazing as always. It’s really hard to choose what to get bc everything is so good. I usually get a cherry cheese danish but they’ve added even more pastries recently so I guess I’ll be going more often. Apparently they even have sandwiches which I’m looking forward to trying. So glad they have lasted so long and I wish them many more years in business. Outstanding in every way!!!!

Without a doubt, Toronto’s best bakery. Everything is made with quality ingredients. The sourdough is 100% sourdough, no additives. We love every single thing they make. If you know, and love, they make poppyseed baked goods - the Czech in me is obsessed. Truly, best people & best place. I’d argue they make the best croissants in the City.

I loved the cheese danish! A lot of the other things I didn't buy looked good too. Will definitely come back again soon. The space inside is a little tight and not the easiest to walk around (hence why I gave it 4 stars rather than 5)

The cream cheese danish is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. The biggest, fluffiest, crispy on outside, soft on the inside, kinda pastry I've ever had. The owners seem like lovely folks. Will keep coming back for these yummy pastries.

What a super friendly and welcoming bakery! One of the few places outside of Europe to serve poppyseed desserts, that I have come across, and they are amazing! The crème cheese danish is also delicious. A hidden gem and definitely on my list of places to keep visiting when I come back to Toronto!
