Liked the ambience even though the place was very noisy. Food was nothing mind blowing although they have tried to make it more palatable. Service was very slow and for a seven course meal we spent about 3 hours inside . The price was very expensive for a tasting menu that did not include any ingredients out of the ordinary.
The staff was very courteous and well mannered.
The tasting menu should be made better than just carrots beets and potatoes served with a lot of explanation that was not necessary.

The staff are extremely knowledgeable about every dish being served, explaining where the ingredients were locally sourced and how the in-house items are prepared.
The work they put into making and serving is unbelievable!
Highly recommended!,,

Very well-executed tasting menu with a focus on seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients. We were not overly full after 7 courses and meal was well-paced. Thoughtful wine pairings. Good service and lovely space. Reasonably priced as well for the number of courses and quality.

Absolutely wonderful experience! From the staff, detail in the food, care and explanation behind every dish and paired wine, the atmosphere (had to ask for a couple songs on the playlist) - you just got a feeling of authentic passion by the whole team; it felt like they were all part-owners of the restaurant. And the selection of ingredients in each dish was thoughtfully balanced. First time here, but honestly now easily one of our top favourites in the city – we'll be highly recommending and will be back.

We will definitely be back. The attention to detail in each ave every dish was astounding. My husband did the wine pairing, and it was super fun and thoughtful.
The menu changes every 6 weeks or so, so we're looking forward to visiting again in the spring.

A pricey but tasty menu. Everything was fresh and seasonal. Vegan dishes were intentional but some were too conceptual and lacked flavour. Nice outdoor atmosphere. A good experience, but one I’m unlikely to spend another $140 on.

While the craft and story that goes into each dish and accompanying wine is admirable, Actinolite falls short in terms of standing out and creating meaningful impact in its culinary delivery.

The dishes were thoughtful with intention, each feeling uniquely different yet balanced - though in the end, was underwhelming as a collective. Mostly neutral and earthy in flavour, the food drove curiosity, without satisfaction or sense of surprise to captivate each course with.

More importantly, portions are VERY small (our Lamb main was just two slices, cooked two ways with a slice of beet and a few pearl onions), and wait times between each course are long and arduous, as such, our experience took nearly 3 hours and we ultimately left feeling unsatisfied, underwhelmed, and still hungry. Overall the value is absolutely not worth the $135 seating (over $600 for the table), more flavourful and surprising food can be found elsewhere for the same price, or substantially less.

Had a fantastic dinner with my wife last night. Everything was perfect. Our server took time to describe the restaurant's approach to sourcing local ingredients to craft each dish, which we really appreciated. Every single item was great and had an element of surprise for us. I wish I could take that the yeast extract butter home :) Overall, a great dining experience and I'll definitely come back.

I tried the 6-course chef’s menu. The food was okay overall -- not bad, but not nearly as impressive as many reviews suggest. Most dishes were forgettable, with the exception of the dessert, which was genuinely enjoyable. Considering the price, the overall experience felt quite expensive for what it delivered. Not a place I’d rush back to, but I’m glad I tried it once.

Was super impressed by the food. Try the foraged sumac old fashioned. Staff and servers accommodated our requests for a 3 course and everything was excellent.

Truly remarkable menu and service. We came for a 10 year anniversary and got completely blown away. Apps, sides, main and desert - all top notch 🙌🏻

Cocktails were amazing and wine selection was just insane.

Would definitely come back

We took the full menu at 135. First time when we are dissapointed, the food was not outstanding as we expected. With the exception of dessert, that was really memorable.
The interior is really minimalist, modest.
The service was perfect.

What a nice, pleasant surprise that was Actinolite! Went during peak summer and verything was awesome!

Service was impeccable. Polite, conversational, helpful, attentive, everything you expect from a nice dining experience.

The back patio’s ambiance is probably one of the best places in the city to have a nice meal. Quiet, cozy, almost idyllic.

The tasting menu was excellent and fairly priced in my opinion. Fresh, delicious food! The local ingredients from nearby farms really make a difference and were full of flavour. The outdoor open fire adds to the whole experience and all dishes were quite tasty! The pre-dessert was probably the best single bite of the entire meal, clearly outshining the main desert.

This restaurant has quickly become one of my favourites in the city and I can’t wait to try the fall/winter tasting menus.

Highly recommended. Will return for sure.
