The most insane diarrhea and stomach pain of my life please do not come here ever oh my god help
The other day I got a jerk chicken with rice and peas. Flavor was on point and I loved the coleslaw! This place will definitely be my goto resturant for jerk chicken! Can't wait to go back!

Love Albert’s I’ve been ordering from them for years, specifically the classic Jerk Chicken and Oxtail, their Irish Moss, and beef patties.
Inside is always nice and quite great for intimate casual dates. Recently I’ve been ordering in uber eats.
Unfortunately and respectfully I have to be quite honest. The last two orders I received from them there’s been an issue with the food. The rice or chicken smells slightly sour/old. I ate the food thinking I just smelt something funny around me but then would end up tasting a bit off, as if it was more than day old food. In the food and hospitality industry it’s completely normal and safe to store left overs and reserve when stored and labeled properly. But after eating these meals (on two separate occasions around 2-3 weeks apart). I woke up to food poisoning: diarrhea, an upset stomach, bloating, nausea, gassy etc. As an Albert’s lover for me to experience this on two separate occasions, it is a bit concerning and I hope they’re properly storing and handling their food. And making sure not to sell expired food.
The only other critiques I have for Albert’s is to bring back the og creamy sweet coleslaw, I use to buy large tubs of it, the more recent one is more ‘dry’ or less creamy and small.
And for a new marketing team, (I see their TikTok’s have improved but more trendy videos I think could help boost sales to an iconic Toronto- St Clair West restaurant. I would hate to see them go and hope they’re continue to succeed for many years to come!
But yes overall I love this place, and use to love as a kid getting Dutch Dreams next door and then picking up a big order of Albert’s with my dad and sis to bring home for the family. 🙏🏽❤️

I GAVE 5 STAR CAUSE I'M JAMAICAN AND WR HAVE TO SUPPORT BUT YOU HAVE TO DO BETTER. ESPECIALLY REPRESENTING JAMAICA. HATE TO DO THIS BUT I JUST SPENT ALMOST $70 ON 2 BLOODNOT MEALS. OXTAIL DISGUSTING BIG PIECES OF FAT NOT TRIMMED LIKE REAL BACK HOME JAMAICAN STYLE. SOME MEAT WAS OVERCOOKED OTHER PIECES NOT COOKED ENOUGH. RICE WAS HARD OXTAIL LACKING FLAVOUR AND SEASONING. COLD SLAW WHATEVER. CURRY GOAT TASTE LIKE RUBBER CANT EVEN CHEW HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. HIRE A GOOD CHEF IS WHAT YOU NEED CAUSE WHOEVER IS COOKING THIS FOOD OBVIOUSLY CANT TASTE OR IS LACKING TASTE BUDS.

I have personally been at Albert's Jamaican a few years back and times have changed for sure. I ordered by UBER Eats delivery and decided on the boneless chicken roti, soup of the day (beef) and a canned pop. My subtotal $32.05. I was told by a co-worker of mine that they enjoyed a particular meal so I thought why not and see how the food is now. I was anticipating the roti to be honest so, in all everything looked good. Looked good and seemed cooked to order. Hands down the soap was the best!!! I loved it and wished I had gotten the bigger size as I had to share with someone else and I wanted more. The Roti disappointed me. There was not enough gravy and I hated the meat. I found the texture of the meat awful it was stringy and it just turned me off. I can laugh about it now but at the time I was like why? I could not finish the roti. Albert's food can not be written out as other meals are good but, for this order the soup was the winner.

Highly acclaimed Jamaican food place with a remarkably decorated interior and history.
I stopped briefly for beef patties for breakfast. I dined in and took time to appreciate the numerous accolades and the distinctions this place has won. Reading the wall mounted accolades and articles is itself as fun as the food is tasty.
Service is good. Friendly staff.

I ordered oxtail with rice. The meat was so chewy. Not even fresh. The portion is too small. The cashier was very rude. She even laughed at me for asking her a simple question. This will never go to this place I again. I paid $26. July 22 between 7pm - 8pm
