Alberts is a piece of my childhood. My father used to bring us as kids all the time to eat at Alberts and it built such a strong core memory. Now being grown up, I'm able to share that same experience with my children.

The food is always extremely tasty and the portions are great. I love their split pea soup, their doubles and their goat roti. I have zero self control when we get food, I was a bit of everything.

I highly suggest trying their food, you won't be disappointed.

Very good food and service. This place is a city staple. My only suggestion is to read through all your ingredients and label stuff or make stuff gluten free if possible. Easy to do and won't change the taste for many menu items.

Felt a little over priced for what I got

The food itself was ok, the rice and peas was a little over cooked and chicken could have been cut. If they’re only going to provide one piece of chicken.

Didn’t feel like they were at their best, I’ve have better experience before.

I’ve passed by this restaurant hundreds of times and never got around to actually trying them out, although I have heard good things about them many times. I got a craving for some Jamaican food and decided to finally try them out on a whim. Inside the restaurant was spacious and clean. There were just enough tables and chairs to acommodate up to 24 people.

I asked for their signature jerk chicken lunch special with a can of soda which the total came out to $13.84 after tax, before tip. They take cash, debit and credit cards. The lunch special It came with two pieces of meat, three cups worth of rice and peas and a small cup of coleslaw salad.

The chicken was somewhat stale and not seasoned well-enough with spices. Granted, I haven’t versed too much in Caribbean cuisine but I felt like their jerk chicken wasn’t smokey enough. The rice and peas were average. Nothing spectacular but palatable. Their coleslaw was pretty much void of any dressing and basically comprised of plain shredded cabbage and carrots.

Overall, their jerk chicken lunch special is palatable and serviceable enough as a quick light lunch, but it was nothing extraordinary.

Our family has benefitted greatly from this establishment from beef patties to the best coleslaw and a wide array of dinners and lunches.

Food was taste less . I ordered curry chicken with white rice . The rice was mushy and taste like water . The chicken had no curry flavour . They must of just used turmeric only for the yellow/curry colour . The curry gravy had no flavour . No seasoning. Food was disgusting. Never eating here again ! Waste of money

Don’t know what was more dry, the attitude or the chicken.

Albert's has an authentic Jamaican sweet, spicy, and charcoal-bbq smokey jerk. The food is always fresh and flavourful! On top of that, they're always open and the people working there are very nice. How cool is that!

I’ve been a customer since I was 16 and I’m now 33. Unfortunately, this WAS THE go-to spot for Jamaican Caribbean Food. However, I noticed they raised the prices which can be understandable with inflation. But they are also cutting down on the amount and quality they give you. Usually, one or the other but raising the prices and skimping out on the amount is just uncalled for.

What happened to the staff? The new staff is rude and dismissive to their customers.

I used to look forward going to Alberts but now I won’t go back. It’s pretty sad cause I loved this place. I used to go multiple times a week now I don’t go at all.

It’s unfortunate that I have to write this review something that I’d never thought.

It’s not the same.
