Fantastic iced soy latte, I got it every time! The baked goods are incredible, even compared to ones with gluten. In many cases (unless they're also vegan), I couldn't even tell they were gluten-free. If also vegan or dairy-free, things are often missing something, like moisture or texture. I also tried most of the cupcakes:
-vanilla/chocolate is excellent
-PB cup with chocolate cupcake base is the BEST imo
-chocolate espresso is very good
-s'mores is okay
My favorite baked item is the Paleo Muffin! Dense, yummy, and moist.
The peanut butter cookie and sugar cookies are good, but a little crumbly.
The chocolate chip cookie (not vegan) is EXCELLENT! Chewy, rich, and well-balanced.
The banana pecan muffin is also very good.
The hot chocolate is creamy (with whole milk, of course) and delicious.
The peanut butter oat energy bites are yummy, too!
They often have free cupcake samples and offer day-old baked goods at reduced cost, which I often bought.
This is my favorite cafe of a vast many in Toronto!

The woman with red hair at the front desk is incredibly friendly — unfortunately, the rest of my experience was both disappointing and concerning.
From my seat at the high bench, I could see eggs being microwaved in a plastic container with a plastic lid and cheese melted in a small red silicone pan. Heating food in certain plastics can release harmful chemicals like BPA and phthalates, linked to hormone disruption and other health issues. Lower-grade silicone can also leach compounds at high heat. I’m hoping it was at least food-grade, but for a café that promotes healthy, high-quality ingredients, these methods don’t match the brand promise.
I had already been waiting a long time despite the café not being busy. By the time my order came, I was starving and let the preparation concerns slide — the bread was good — but the service interaction that followed made it impossible to overlook the bigger issues.
When I asked for mayo, the kitchen staff member with glasses handed me a portion that barely covered a quarter of the tiny container, with a flat, disinterested shrug that made it feel like I was inconveniencing her. Later, when I asked for hot sauce, the friendly red-haired front desk person suggested spicy mayo. I said “great” and offered to pay multiple times. The same kitchen staff member came out, visibly annoyed, and muttered to her colleague — loud enough for me to hear — “I just gave her mayo,” with the kind of tone you’d expect if I’d asked for something outrageous. I would put zero stars if I could.
It’s just mayo, for god’s sake — not caviar. Customers shouldn’t be made to feel like a burden for such a basic request.
If this business wants to keep its customers, it needs to:
1.Raise food preparation standards to avoid plastics and low-grade silicone in high-heat cooking.
2.Provide proper staff training so that every customer is treated with professionalism, regardless of the size of the request.
Without these changes, both customer trust and loyalty will suffer.

I’m not even vegan or gluten free but I really love this little place ❤️
The cutest Cafe and Bakery! The vanilla iced coffee from here is so good and has become one of my favourites! They also have so many Dairy free and Gluten Free sweets. As someone with a dairy sensitivity this is the perfect spot! I highly recommend stopping by 💕

Almond Butterfly is the best gluten free food in Toronto, hands down. The baked goods are top notch, and their other location also serves a full food menu, suitable for those with Celiac.

Overall my experience was great. Everyone was super nice and friendly. However it was very hot inside. I can’t imagine how the employees feel being in this heat. It was honestly hotter inside the store than it was outside.

I've been coming here a while now, and it's always been a fantastic experience. Baristas are always kind and friendly, food (both baked goods and hot food) tastes great, and I love the espresso. I don't even follow a gluten-free diet, and their baked goods are still better than a lot of regular bakeries I have been to, to the extent where I have genuine cravings for their almond-flour muffins - they're genuinely just that good! I come here multiple times a week even just for a coffee on my way to work and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area.

Found Almond Butterfly Bistro online after searching for a gluten free restaurant near princess of wales theatre. Attended for dinner and was so pleased with the service and the food! Although a little pricey, which is to be expected with gluten free foods, it was delicious and worth it! Only my 5 year old has celiac, but the rest of the family eats gluten and boasted about how delicious the food was and that they couldn’t even tell it was gluten free! Although they don’t have a kids menu, they have some kid friendly options like chicken fingers and Mac and cheese! Portions are a nice size though, so my youngest two were able to split the Mac n cheese and still have leftovers. Would recommend!

Had an incredible matcha latte and brownie! They have tons of vegan, gluten free, and dairy free options of baked goods and everything is clearly labelled. It’s a small location and doesn’t have much seating but the service was fast for my to-go order.
The gluten free sandwiches here are such a treat!
My first stop after landing in Toronto, was excited but the bakery beat my expectations!! Food was delicious and staff were beyond friendly and was so nice to have a whole menu to choose from being gluten free! Great food too , would defo recommend :)
I visit every time I'm in Toronto and always love their treats! I chose my hotel simply because its close to them haha
Ok - I want to say that my photo does not do it justice, but it was a beautiful cake.
It was creamy, rich and had a distinct coffee flavour in the icing. The cookies on top were a great touch as well, and it certainly was enough for 12-14 portions as advertised. I thought that it would be far less, but the cake was huge.
I picked it up almost exactly at my set pick up time and it was quick. If you’re looking for a gluten free cake in the GTA, please try out this shop!
