This is our favourite restaurant in the east end. My husband and I make it our main destination for every date night and I’ve had countless girls nights here for dinner and drinks. I hope the financial challenges they have had with the bank can be settled - I’m sure locals would do whatever we could to support keeping these guys in action!

Had such a great experience here. There was a bit of a mix up and one of our entrees was never put through to the kitchen so it was delayed, they went above and beyond to compensate for the mistake and make us feel special. Incredible service and DELICIOUS food, will be back for sure!!

What a lovely gem to discover! Enjoyed an incredible dinner at this family run restaurant on a Saturday night. Every dish we ordered was delicious! Service and ambience was great too.
Make reservations.

A few days before Christmas we had a long planned dinner at Ascari with friends. It had been highly recommended. The food was stellar but unfortunately we were party to an extreme and upsetting incident. I have written a letter to the owner, John Sinopoli, and sent two emails so that we might have a dialogue about the incident. To date, I have had no reply. Disappointing really because we would have become regulars. Clearly we are not the demographic that the restaurant is courting. I don’t normally go to Social Media, I don’t need to. I have a very large social circle and they have been horrified about this incident.

This is one of our favourite Italian restaurants and we love that it’s located in Leslieville and so close to home. The service was impressive tonight. Friendly and efficient with nice timing between courses. The orange wine was a lovely surprise with our dinner. No room for dessert after sharing appetizers plus a main. I must order the brussel sprouts every time we go. To die for !!

Amazing carbonara!

Food is delicious but I doubt it is very healthy. The service was friendly but give some time. The tables are close and you really can't avoid listening to the conversations of others which is a bit uncomfortable.

Great spot for a nice dinner out. Pasta is fantastic. Pro tip: ask for the carbonara with no peas. It's so much better! It's rich and creamy (from the cheese, not cream), and the guanciale is perfect. Arancini is also a must here. Grilled zucchini was the seasonal salad, and that was delicious.

We were going to a show at the local theatre and literally picked this place at random (but after looking at the amazing reviews) and it lived up to everything! Truly phenomenal food. Loved the veggie options, the drinks were perfect and the fish was excellent. My hubby who can’t eat tomatoes had the best carbonara of his life, and I cannot recommend the bolognese more highly!
There’s a secret to the sauce and I’m obsessed now!

Amazing food. The presentation and flavour was amazing and the atmosphere was cozy despite it being filled on a Monday. Apparently it's always busy so we were lucky to get a table. For a special occasion this place was perfect. Although pricy, I think it was worth it.

Great food and service! The asparagus appetizer is amazing.
However all five of us ordered beer, but we were also charged 15$ extra for still water in a glass jug for our table… first time for us. Our waiter offered water right when we sat down so I was taken aback when I checked the bill later and saw the charge. It’s not like we didn’t already pay $70 in alcohol.
