The place has been in that location for a long time so clearly they're doing something right. The service is attentive and friendly. The bar is spacious with a large upstairs and a considerable downstairs as well. I've been a couple of times and both times the bar was far from full, I think it's large size only adds to this empty feeling. They have a somewhat limited but classic beer menu with a couple interesting local beers on tap. Overall if you're in the area and looking for a pint I would recommend stopping in but I wouldn't expect my mind to be blown.

The food was the worst I have ever had. If Gordon Ramsey is looking for a place to visit…this would be it. A brie and green apple sandwich with red pepper jelly on warm bread was ordered. It seemed like they put a whole slice green apple with literally and no exaggeration a teaspoon sized blob of brie in the middle and a half teaspoon spread of jelly on bread. It was dry and disappointing.I do not recommend eating here. And as for the iced tea - watered down and undrinkable.Not very busy during dinner time which is why I chose the safest meal. How hard can it be to make a good sandwich?Do not recommend.

Used to play darts at this restaurant in our dart league as an away team. One time we were visiting the home team and I ordered a wings and fries and a drink. I paid for this after I finished eating. Found out the next day, they tried telling the home team that I dined and dashed and one of their team members paid for my meal. I paid that person back, but I had essentially paid for the same meal twice.

I was surprised to see so many mediocre reviews, until I saw that the last one was before Covid. Unlike many restaurants I have visited, both before and after the pandemic, the food has got better! In fact the food has gone from average to very good. The goumet burger is excellent. So are the fries, although I usually have half and half salad and fries with a burger. Other items are also good. The decor is nothing to write home about but I come here for the food and a nice pint of Guinness. Also, for wine lovers, they need to improve the selections.

Menu could be updated and possibly a little bit more variety. Keeping in mind that this is a pub. Patio is great in the evening as you get the setting Sun. Good beers on tap. beau's and Amsterdam. Food was pretty delish. we had pulled pork nachos and grilled cheese stuffed with chicken guacamole tomatoes and bacon.

Four of us sat on the patio for lunch. Service was attentive and prompt. Each of us ordered something different and we were all very pleased with our meals (BLT chicken salad, Axis burger, Quesadillas and Veggie wrap). Definitely going back.

The experience was amazing! We were looking for a bar with a pool table, and we found this one.The pool table is on the level below.We ordered a gourmet burguer and the Axis BLT salad. Both were simply delicious. A little expensive, $19 each, but it was very flavorul and beautifully arranged. We also ordered ceasers and it was also good.There was a live band playing rock, and the music was great. Very pleasant!The service was also great! All the waitress are very polite, helpful and always with a smile on their face!We will definitely go back.
